HOLLY ELECTRIC INC

Approximately two years ago I had Holly electric install 2 light fixtures, put in two electric outlets, run wire to my microwave, etc... A few days ago a wire installed across my ceiling fell, and I called Holly Electric. Their uncaring response to the possible danger involved, the denial of any responsibility for the shoddy work that was done and their eagerness to send someone to fix the fallen wire for $185 made me realize they are not the friendly hometown service they claim to be...

After being without power after a hurricane hitting our area, we had a service tech come out 2 weeks later who was rude, unprepared and ill-equipped to repair the generator back into running condition. More than 3 weeks later, the second service tech that came out was much more pleasant and got us up and running. They charged us 1,780.00 in the repair bill for the replacement of a capacitor (a 20.00 to 100.00 part) that took this company over 5 weeks and 2 techs, 2 separate visits to get the generator back in running order. They take advantage of the customers in this area which is a rural area and finding a qualified service technician difficult to obtain, so they target and exploit customers in this region by over-charging the customers in commute time and charging them at the same rate as worked time. I'll never use their services again due to the ridiculous amount they are attempting to charge in a common and simple repair job and for the rudeness of the first service repair tech that came out. I have spoken to the service manager for this company, and he seems to think there is nothing in appropriate about the total amount in our repair bill.

This might be the most professional and customer-oriented Electrical contractor I have ever used in my 71 years!
They were prompt, reasonable, polite, and neat.  They arrived on time (2 visits), and far exceeded my expectations.  I will definitely use them foa all future electrical work, and I highly advise them to anyone looking for a tor rated Electrical Contractor

They were very efficient and friendly. They were open to questions and happy to help fix some things I asked about after they had arrived for the scheduled work. The price was very fair. So happy to have a dependable, reasonable electrician!

The gentlemen were professional and courteous. The outlet was finished quickly and cleany. The minor repairs were so minor that I wasn't even charged (operator error sort-of-speak).

Fantastic.
i called them at 7:30am  and they were at my house by 8:15am.  They provided analysis of the problem (i have had the same problem before) and to save me money, told me what to get and how to install it.  so simple a 2 yr old could fix it. 
Highly professional in all areas.  couldn't ask for better service.  will never use anyone else.

I called them at 9:00 Monday morning and stated that I have had no water since Saturday night and needed their help. I got a call back about 10:30 and provided them with directions to my house. They arrived around 11:00. They had the problem identified inside of 15 minutes. Since I needed my well tank pressurized, they provided me with a contact to a plumber associate the they had worked with for many years. They called the plumber and informed him of my problems, so it wouldn't be a cold call for me.

He stated that since he didn't do anything (except restore my water) he wasn't going to charge me full price.

really nice guy, another Veteran and knows how to professionally treat people.

They will be my only electricians I will use in the future.

Mr. Holly came the day we called, even though he had a fractured elbow. He gave a price right off the bat, I accepted the price. He then called his crew which showed up about 10 minutes later. They were finished within 10 minutes. He was very pleasant and kept me company as his crew worked. I would highly recommend this group for any electrical services and will use them in the future for any of my electrical needs.

It went very well. The only problem was a washer/dryer hookup for power, where the dryer didn't come on. I called to let him know and he came out the next day and it was working fine when he left. I am not sure why it didn't work to start with, but I do know if there is any problem, he will come out right away to make it right. That's huge to me. I also had horrible fluctuating of voltage at the radio tower and he came out and thoroughly grounded all of the equipment and the volts are a perfect steady voltage now.

They are teriffic, very polite, and personable. The owner was there on the job site. They are very nice people. I will definitely use them in the future.

Called and set up an appointment for Mr Holly to arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 and he come on the day and time as arranged. Set to work on the outlet, replaced the outlet and moved on to the next project I had. He was pleasant and extremely knowledgeable, did I mention he came when he said he was going to. We have a joke around our house...he said he would be here Monday, he just didn't say which Monday. I originally was thinking he was only coming to give us an estimate for the job, not fix the problems. What a pleasant surprise.
His methodology is to look for the simple solution first. He fixed all our requested needs and we would call him back if we had any future electrical needs.

I had spent several weeks calling electricians trying to locate one who had specific experience with installing a Nexus Smart Switch and a Generac Generator. After speaking with 4 electricians and having to explain to them what a Nexus Smart Switch was and how it was supposed to be installed I had become very frustrated. I finally looked on Angie's List and called Mr. Donald Hollingsworth of Holly Electric. When I explained to Mr. Hollingsworth what I needed he immediately informed me that he had installed numerous Nexus Smart Switches in the past few months. After asking a few questions I knew I had finally found my electrician! Mr. Hollingsworth was prompt on the day of the estimate and re-assured me that he had everything under control. I thought the price was good and we signed a contract that day. On the day of installation Mr. Hollingsworth and the crew from Holly Electric showed up on time and completed the job in a timely manner. The workers were friendly and courteous and answered all of my questions. I would without hesitation recommend Holly Electric to anyone needing an electrician and especially someone needing a whole-house Generator installation. As a footnote, two weeks after the installation one of the switching components that I had purchased online became defective. I called Mr. Hollingsworth and explained what was happening. I was surprised that he was at my home within two hours of my call and quickly replaced the defective part. While I certainly can't guarantee this is typical of their response time I was definitely impressed.
