I don’t like them, and don’t believe anything they say. They lie, and are terrible. Mr. Cook himself came out to my house, and did nothing but lie to me. He didn't act professional at ALL. He didn't tell me anything about how many solar panels I would get, or anything about the panels themselves. He just said I would save half off of my electric bill. I called the solar panel company, and they said it was incorrect. He also said I could get a deduction on my taxes; and I spent $21000 and was only able to deduct $650. I even tried to cancel the solar panels when I tried to get in touch with him, but he wouldn't do it. They started the work in September and put the A/C unit in the next day, but the Solar Panels didn’t get put in until February. I even had to call the people I was financing everything through, and they had trouble getting in touch with them too. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!

I am a soldier who was away on orders. My wife called Cook's to replace our old AC/Heating unit. They sold us a nice AC/Heating unit along with a solar option. This was in August 2016. To date we have yet to receive the solar system at nearly 20k. The salesman promised her 8-10 weeks because of permitting time, which was reasonable. However, it is now December and no solar system. The managers hide under their desks I presume because they won't call me or her back. You can't get past the receptionist on the phone. I've asked to speak to a manager, sales rep, sales director, etc. and nothing. No call backs and no transfers. Our next call is to an attorney at this point. This company has a satisfaction guarantee but we are most definitely NOT satisfied and they are less than professional at handling customers or issues. I've already may complaints to the BBB and the state's attorney general's office. Solar means tax breaks but if you don't have it you can't get them and that's what they guaranteed.

"Hello Ms. [Member Name Removed] - We are so sorry for the lack of reply to this post. Something happened with our Angie's List account and we were unable to see several reviews so they did not get addressed in a timely manner. However, I was able to look at your account and cannot see where any calls have been made to our company since May of 2016. I see where we sent a technician out to your home because your AC unit wasn't cooling properly. We were able to fix a leak in the system and from what I can see in our notes, everything was working as it should be at that time. We would love a chance to redeem ourselves. Would you possibly let us come service your unit again? We could do a tune up (free of charge) to make sure everything is working properly, and insure you are ready for the summer temperatures. Please feel free to call our office at (386)752-8558 between 8AM - 5PM and we could get you in the schedule!"

"We apologize for whatever may have caused you to feel this way. Our records show that we installed a new unit for you on 4/23/2007. It looks like we had to make a couple minor adjustments to the unit after it was installed but have not been to the your home since 6/10/2007. To the best of our knowledge you have not called in with any complaints. We would be happy to address any issues that the you may have with your system if you would like to contact us to set up a time that is convenient for you."

The gentleman that they sent out under contract was very capable and very competent. I would give him 10 stars, he was very thorough, his finished work was spot on. Their prices were probably 15 to 20 percent higher than they needed to be for their markup. The other crew that they sent out to do the finish up and the button up did very shoddy work. I had to call them back up and I requested the gentleman that was there first to do the install to come back and do the ducting. I would give them 6 out of 10 stars because that one particular man that they had working for them was an older man, experienced, knew what he was doing. Good finish work and follow through. He did all the wiring and all the stuffing and stuff. He did quality work. The other guys were younger guys and they just didn't.
I wasn't particular happy with the way that they handled financing. And they didn't give me exactly what I had ordered because we had discused getting a 15.4 SER which is an Energy Star rating 5 ton and they brought me out a 14 because it was bigger displacement. So I ended up with a 5 1/2 ton 14 SER as opposed to a 5 ton 15 SER. So, contractually they didn't meet their end of the bargain because that is not what I ordered although they did get a piece of equipment that was comparable and the energy usage is probably going to be negligible.
Their showing up on time and scheduling stuff in to get stuff installed was good. They had good contact and representation for calling you back and getting everything scheduled and being able to get a hold of someone and being able to talk to a person to install it and hear your needs and what is best for you. That end was really good. Some of the installation crew was not so good. Like I said, some of the guys didn't show up with everything that they needed to finish the job so they just went ahead and finished it with what they had and it was piece meal and not functunal. They called and followed up but the only time they followed up was when it was time for a 6 month checkup so they were just trying to drum up business.
I would say that if you have money to throw at it and you want the problem solved right now, then go with them. If you have the time, you are better off going with a smaller contractor. It depends on your needs and your financial situation.-

Fast response, with good service, just too much $$.
Serviceman offered to wear booties into my mobile home - I got a kick out of that!
When I asked him about searching for the recurring leak, he claimed that it would cost another $100 just to get his sniffer out of his truck!
