Mr. Schmidt does very detailed and precise work.  He and his staff clean up afterwards and ensures the customer's satisfaction.  He is meticulous.

It took him a little longer than we both anticipated. But he was meticulous about the work and appearance of the wall. He is very particular about every aspect of the job. It turned out beautiful. He is a hard worker and makes sure it's right or he'll take it down and do it again.

It was completed in 1 day as promised. The work was done on the day promised, and the workers were very professional. The patio looks great, and is not shifting at all after 2 weeks.

Steve was a delight to work with.  He is very professional in every way.

I thought I knew what I wanted when he came to see my jog.  However, he provided many helpful suggestions that made the end result much better that I could have produced on my own.

Steve has all the equipment that was needed to complete the job on time.  He is very thorough and always left the job site clean and neat.

We are very pleased with the work done by Steve Schmidt of A Nature Encounter. Our patio and front entrance reconstruction required removal of old concrete, leveling out the slope of the ground, adding some seating walls around landscaping, building a cooktop area for our BBQ, and adding lanscape lighting around our water garden. Mr. Schmidt has a keen eye for detail and helped us make decisions on the best pavers to use and the best way to structure and layout our new patio. He is very responsive to text messages and email. He communicated effectively with us to keep us informed, and he made sure were aware of what he was doing and what to expect. Mr. Schmidt was punctual and delivered as promised. We felt we could trust him from the very beginning. He made an expensive project and otherwise stressful situation go smoother than we expected, and we are very happy with the final outcome. I highly recommend this company. 

As stated above, everything Steve did was done to perfection.  In the future, I will ask him to put pavers on my pool deck!

His work was beautiful and I could not have been happier with the finished product. He was very professional and friendly. He answered all my questions and also helped me move my  heavy potted plants to the areas on the walkways. He went above and beyond in my opinion. After the paver job was finished he suggested that I get some sod , which I did through him and he also laid it and not everyday but while I was at work and he was in my area he turned the sprinklers on my sod. I would definitely use his services again.

From the first meeting, Steve from A Nature Encounter provided excellent customer service. We renovated our patio area and planting beds around the house. Steve gave us a variety of suggestions and options as well as a detailed price list to help us decide on the services that we wanted. He made an excellent suggestion about how to update and use the patio space.
We could not be more pleased with the results of the work. Our project took place in two phases, with phase 1 focusing on the renovation of the patio area and phase 2 focusing on the update of the planting beds at the front and back of the house. We were so impressed with the quality of the work and the customer service provided that we move directly into phase 2 of the work once the first phase was completed.
 
Steve and his assistants did excellent work on the job site. They kept the site clean and never left a mess at the end of the day?s work. We were also impressed at how quickly he was able to complete the work. He kept us informed of the progress at every step and met every deadline that he provided for the job. He also went above and beyond the job requirements. We had a stump in the yard that he removed when he had his equipment here without even being asked! The end result is amazing. We are pleased with the result and now have a beautiful and functional patio space with attractive planting beds. Thanks to Steve and his crew, we now have a yard of which we can be proud and where we want to spend our time!

Steve was an excellent worker and very professional.  He completed the job quickly and on budget.  We are thrilled with the results.  Much better than boring old concrete.  He created a very natural looking stone walkway and porch that blends into the environment.  We highly recommend him to anyone looking to do hard scape or paver work at their home.

Mr. Schmidt took over a project that was started in the Fall of 2010 when another landscaper apparently bailed out on us after repeated phone calls and emails that we were ready for him to get started again in March 2011 after the cold weather ended.

Mr. Schmidt had to work with what was already installed and he did a GREAT job of tying all the loose pieces together to be a cohesive project. He kept us very well informed of additional costs when we made changes to the original plans and worked steadily in the heat over the course of a couple of weeks to get the flower beds finished, the irrigation installed, and the plants in the ground. He is a pleasure to work with and offered good suggestions to help us save some money sometimes too. He used quality materials for the irrigation system and timer and has offered to come over one or two more times after the work was completed to ensure that we set the timer on the irrigation system to optimize watering, as well as conserving water after the plants are established. He likes to get started early in the day to get the majority of the work completed before our infamous Florida heat and humidity sets in but, if necessary, he will stay until dark to complete some projects already underway that day.

Because we did make changes to the original plans and added additional spaces to be landscaped and irrigated I really can't fault Mr. Schmidt on the final costs. It did wind up being more than we planned to spend, especially if we add what we paid to the original landscaper who jumped ship on us. If Mr. Schmidt had done the project from scratch I think he would have done a much better job of controlling the costs for us. But, as I said, he had to work with what was already in place because it was too far along to tear it all out and start all over again. 

Although the original project has been completed we will be calling Nature Encounter again for other outside projects which were not planned to happen this year.
