T and D was the pool subcontractor for The Villages when my home was built in 2006. They have maintained my pool on a weekly basis most of the time since. So it was natural that we contact them for estimates for work in and around our pool area. They have done several projects for us over the eight years we've lived here, including major expansion of our birdcage (twice), the construction of a summer kitchen, and the design and construction of the spillover spa connected to our pool.
Our experience with T and D has been so good that I wouldn't even consider taking the time to get estimates from other pool and screening contractors. While they may not be readily available to give estimates during periods when they are overloaded with both new construction and other "add on" work, they explain as much and tell you when they will be available to assist with design and estimating. Then once they estimate the cost, they are ready to begin the project immediately. We have found that they are worth waiting for!
The quality of their design and construction is unmatched by any other pool contractor that I know of in or around The Villages. They are known for never...and I mean NEVER...having an unhappy customer. In our case, because of a change in the building code, I was unhappy with the look of our birdcage, with the "old" and "new" codes being reflected in the project. With little or no argument, T and D simply tore down our entire birdcage and rebuilt it to a specially design which met the new building code. For those of you who have birdcages, you know that was a major construction project by itself.
In our case, T and D completed the job by replacing the sod in our lawn which had been damaged during the extensive construction of the new spa and birdcage, concrete work and the use of heavy equipment. That was an element of the contract that I didn't expect. Our home, from the front to the back where the pool area is, looked better when they finished than before they started.
If you have a pool or screening project you are considering, I would definitely and strongly recommend T and D Pool and Spa.

They do a good job. I think the price is high but what they do is affective.

I also used Tand D in July 2010. I had a pipe joint that had cracked - water would shoot out when the pump was on. He fixed it very quickly and efficiently. Then, I messed up and caused an air blockage when I was refilling the spa - he came out again early the next morning and resolved the problem. That all cost $102, but there was a lot of refitting of a new valve, bends, etc. I had expected their prices to be high because they are located in The Villages, but I was pleasantly surprised. I thought the price was very fair.

In 2009 we contacted Tand D about installing a pool. The salesperson was professional and answered all of our questions and worries. The job itself started on time and was completed on time. The personnel at Tand D are always professional and personable. If we have a problem of any kind someone is either able to address it over the phone or they send someone right out. They always resolve the problem in a timely manner.
We feel that we have a good product and a relationship with a good company.
