Scooter Paints

Asked the owner for an estimate to paint two bedrooms guest bath, utility room and kitchen. He said he could do whole house,doors and trim in two days. We received a quote by email that was hard to read. It's our fault for not reading carefully. He didn't include guest bath, but had closets listed. When his wife came out to help choose colors I asked if they could include the trim in my master suite. That was added. We even discussed paint color in guest bath. Still was assured it would be two days maybe another half day. Painters came on Thursday and Friday. Never touched the guest bath. Never asked about painting it. We mentioned this to the painters and they never mentioned that they were told not to paint it. At the end of the day Friday we were told that the painters would be back Monday to finish. All this time we were not able to sleep in the house because of the type of paint used. So Monday came and two painters showed up, they still didn't get finished. The rest of the time one painter showed up. We still had issues with running paint. The trim work in the windows is streaked and there are puddles of primer in the window that didn't get finished. We called the office and the owner refused to call us back. He did however send an email. We expected the courtesy of a phone call at least. Not a professional!

They were a pleasure to deal with! The owner came out and estimated the job and gave my husband a 10% military discount (nice). The painters came when they said they would, they did a great job and were respectful of me and my property. Everything was cleaned up before they left. We walked around the house together to make sure everything was perfect and it was. Very professional. No drama. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic! Neat, clean, professional, efficient, friendly, covered furniture and flooring and even helped with color selection. Best yet - had most of it done in 1 day. Could not be more happy with the process or the results! Will use Scooter for all my interior and exterior painting projects.

Quick, and clean

Scooter Paints have a very good reputation, but I didn't find them that great. I would rate them a B. When they gave me a price to paint the interior it was not for doors, windows, or baseboards. I had to pay an extra $700 to do them. I had never heard of that. They were in and out. There were 6 of them that came in. They all do other things. They took my paintings off the walls and put them back in order. They were very polite, but they missed some places. Where there was some loose silicon on the floor by the baseboards instead of removing it and replacing it they just left it. I had a piece of metal that attached the linen closet to the door that had rusted. They never took it off. They left it rusty and I did not like that. There were certain parts of the wall that had some dents in it and I had to call them back to fix it. I had to call them back several times. They fixed some of the things and other things they did not fix. Frankly I think they are overrated. I felt their price was very high and that was why I thought they would do a good job, but they didn't. The painting that they did was good, but it was not right that I had to pay more for the windows, doors, and baseboards. There was more good than bad about it. I called several times to tell them I was not happy and I never got a response until I called and got the owner. She was very upset that they ignored it, so she came over and took care of it. I can't blame the owners just the workers. She was very upset when she found out. I would use them again, but I would point out things I would definitely want. Not just leave it alone and then have to call them back. 

We had a good experience with Scooter Paints. The quality was fine. It turned out I didn't like the color I had them paint which was not their doing, mine so I ended up redoing some of it myself. I think their price is slightly high but they did good work. They were punctual, efficient and they finished quickly.
