Vendor very shady. Replaced high end DVR with off market brand DVR and charged 3x the cost. My original cameras were all white, he tried to belittle my intelligence by stating my cameras were all black, he stated "I decided to replace them with white cameras" without notifying me, I told him I know what I had, as far as I'm concerned , he only changed my white cameras with 2 black cameras on the side of my home. I asked him why would I want 2 different color cameras on my home? Currently we're in dispute with my credit card company. Has refused to provide warranty on multiple request. Would not recommend.

We had done business with our previous alarm company for over 12 years. After multiple calls to them over 6 week period with no response to repair an alarm sensor, I checked on Angie’s List for other companies. Lav at Techfense was extremely responsive and came out right away to make the repair. We asked about upgrades which were quoted at very reasonable rates. The work was scheduled and completed quickly. We also had a camera system not functioning at its potential. Again, Lav provided an economical solution, which was scheduled and completed in just a couple of days after we gave the ok. Lav and Techfense gets my highest recommendation.

Lavinash Basdeo (TechFense) was one of two out of five contacts I used taken from Angie's top rated in this field. The second contact rang my phone and disconnected after a few short rings. So TechFense was the only one from which I got an estimate. I didn't try for another because Lavinash has a calm, warm demeanor and demonstrated his knowledge effortlessly, someone I can let in my house. He didn't use a sales pitch. Don't become concerned about the money. You can choose a reliable system at many price points. I chose a high end system. I chose six 4K cameras, the most well defined video available. There is an APP for the cell phone. I added an eight terabyte recorder capable of about two months of movement and connected it to my smart flat panel TV. I had some objects disappear from my yard and I can't tell when it happened. Neighbors had similar experiences and there are newspaper stories. I don't want trespassers vandalizing a political sign I might put on my front lawn or unwanted strangers harassing my wife when I'm not around. I am away from the house for extended periods. If it's serious, I'll contact law enforcement with the video I'll have. Lavinash arrived on installation day with all the necessary materials and tools and worked until he was done. He needed to come back for a few tweaks, nothing major. He completed some work I requested and trouble shot my fax machine. He did not react negatively or charge extra. I would hire him again. The installer was not only on time but very detailed orientated. He ensure that all functions of the camera was working and double check with me while I was at work to ensure all camera angles are perfect.

Amazing. We moved crosscountry to utah and had a security system in our house we forgot to remove. The new buyers didn't want it and we had didn't want to give it away. Lavinash went above and beyond for us. He did an amazing job. He removed it and made everything look great all for a very good price. I am so glad we found him!!!

They guided me through the entire process, and made sure not to "overkill" my installation by upselling me unnecessary devices. They developed a plan for installation, identified exactly where the cameras should be installed and ran the wires seamlessly. You can't see a single wire! Professionally installed, and they even followed up weeks later to make sure everything was in order. Would definitely recommend to others.
