Unfortunately, we experienced several issues with the home during our stay and customer service problems after the stay: Upon arrival, the condo was found in less than ideal condition: 1. Not properly cleaned - remnants of previous tenants included a pair of women's underwear in the MBR, old food and dirty napkins on the carpet. - overall badly stained carpeting in severe need of cleaning: drastic color change noted when dining room area rug was lifted. - dirty dishes found in dishwasher. - old, dried food stains in refrigerator. - MBR sheets stained with old blood. - MBR pillowcases "smelled dirty", like unwashed hair. 2. Not properly stocked/supplied - no kleenex, garbage bags, napkins, kitchen soap and only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom (on roll). - one partial paper towel roll in kitchen. - telephone book from 2005. 3. Clothes dryer tubing was found disconnected from the outside vent and was blowing hot air into the condo (increasing AC use) and required us to repair for proper dryer use. 4. On 4/24, GRH placed an unauthorized $116 charge on our credit card. When I spoke to the accounting department, I was angrily told the charge was for unspecified damage to the home. There had been so such damage. On 4/28, I wrote to Mr. Russ Kraft, the general manager, and he e-mailed me on 4/29 that the amount would be immediately refunded. Sadly, I had to contact Mr. Kraft and the accounting department several more times over the next two weeks before the refund for the unauthorized charge was completed on 5/13.
Description of Work: We used the services of Global Resort Homes, a vacation rental property management company, to arrange the use of an Orlando, FL condo from 4/7 to 4/17/09. As we live in WA state, we used their website and e-mail communication to choose the property we wanted, the dates we would stay and expected the property to be readied for us when we arrived.
