"Thank you for your review."
"I went out of my [Member Information Removed] to make this customer happy. I picked up two pallets of tile and drove over 50 miles to deliver them for absolutely free. I installed a complicated medallion that he bought absolutely free. I installed his baseboards which were 5 inches for less than half of what I usually charge. I also provided him with all setting materials included in my lab our costs to offset the cost to him (a $600 cot to me). If you notice in his review he does not mention about any installation issues. Wood look tiles are very hard to install properly. At no time did I measure his job. He measured and told me he was confident of his measurements. Since we ran out of tiles with only about 6 pieces left to install. Or the contract the 50% that remained was to be paid at the end of the job. He wanted to withhold $500. Which I explained was unfair. Since he was short of tiles based on His measurements and there was only 6 pieces needed to complete the job. There was no demanding payments from me. I do not demand. He agreed to withhold $300. In the meantime the grout had dried with different shading. The grout used was a rapid set grout that dries hard in 25 minutes. So from the time of application to when you wiped it off the loot it has to get it in that window. Since there was a large space I had to mix three separate buckets of grout. Apparently that created a color inconsistency issue which I acknowledged and agreed to fix without hesitation or push back. On Saturday I decided that I would hire someone who was familiar with grouting to help me with the wipe the grout because I needed to use only one mix to grout the floor so the consistency would be the same. Customer only owed me $300. Once again I went and picked up the extra boxes of tiles he wanted for free. Paid my guy $200 and then bought two bottles of grout mix. That is an alternative to water and it also seals the grout. I figured that would eliminate the color consistency problem. Which I must say is an issue that we installers have struggled with especially recently. I then spent another $270 on supplies including the grout mix. We used a grout saw and went over every inch of the floor and scraped every high spot to ensure adhesion to the existing grout without uneven lines. I did not notice any additional chipped tiles. We were able to grout the whole floor with one mix just due to sheer teamwork and skill. I was sure this would fix the issue but later that night customer Sent me two pictures of Two tile with color inconsistencies. I did not receive a wide shot of the floor showing major differences a you might expect with person claiming major issues on their entire floor. Like I told the customer. Clears my this was a grout issue and I told him I would come out and fix his Chipped tiles without hesitation . In his review he stated that I refuse to come back to fix issue stating it was a grouting issue. I have my messages absolutely disproving that totally false statement. He did not ask me to come back and fix the grouting issue. He STATED he will buy grout renew aNd fixing the issue himself but would not be paying the $300 he owed. But he did ask me to come fix the chipped tiles which I agreed to. It is sad that he found it necessary to use this forumTo sully my character or workmanship. Saving $300 may be worth ruining a persons reputation but it certainly isn't worth my reputation or my prospects for future Revenue."
