Richard's Tune-Up is one of the few places in Key West where I will take my car for service. I have used them since I first moved here 17 years ago. Every one of the many times I have taken a vehicle in for service, they have diagnosed and repaired it at a cost that closely matched the estimate. Key West is full of unscrupulous mechanics who will take advantage of an apparent ignorance of car mechanics to make unnecessary repairs or charge more than warranted, but Richard's has a well-earned reputation for honesty and professionalism and is one of the most trusted car repair services in town. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a mechanic. They are very busy so sometimes I have had to wait several days for a repair to be done, but it is always finished when promised and the cost is always reasonable.

Our whole family has been using Richard's for years for a number of different cars. We trust them 100% of the time to give us excellent service. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!

as I was driving into Key West for a vacation the care a 2003 Cadillac began to make some very strange noises from the engine, I looked and was able to determine that the ac compressor and clutch were shot...I was able to get all the way to Key West arriving on Thurs 10/25 and inquired of a friend who was a local of a good reliable non rip off auto repair facility I was directed to Richards Tune Up, called them they said bring it over and they would look at same but I would have to leave it for repairs etc all to be expected, when I dropped it off I asked the staff at Richards howlong they thought it would take since I was afraid I might have to leave for home what with Hurricabe Sandy heading to the northeast, they said it might be monday or tuesday before I got it back since the parts were not in key west but in Miami 130 miles or so away and might take several days...what could I do I needed the repair and left the car there...to my surprise the very next day Friday at about 4:15 in the afternoon they called and said the car was ready and I could come get same....They had arranged for someone to bring the parts down and install same that very day since they knew I might have to head out due to the storm....they charged no extra for the service and were great through the whole process...they were FAST, HONEST, WELL PRICED, and COMPETENT

They did a great job and they were professional. Their prices were very reasonable and I would use them again.
