One Call Contruction Co

A disaster. First job was paid up front and failed. Second job estimate was crazy high but i made the deposit anyway...then delay delay delay. Omg the whole process was a huge disappointment and an expensive mistake. So One Call Construction was contacted to repair an electrical fault and something in my kitchen. They came over. The problem was fixed. However the repair failed immediately the next day. I called them back and they said they could no longer fix it and it would require much more expensive repair. I don't understand why they could fix it one day and then have it break and not be able to fix it the next day. I feel like that was a rip off. We ended up paying for this repair and getting nothing for it. Well this was in process I had already requested that One Call Construction do an estimate on some faulty wiring that needed to be fixed in my house.. One Call Construction estimate for the electric repair was $5,500. We paid half of this up front then there was a long delay before they could get the work done. Because things were dragging on so long I had an electrician look at the problem. He noticed that the fix was an easy one and fixed it in the 20 minutes. He charged me $40. So much for the $5,500 estimate that One Call Construction had given me in writing. After quite a bit of fighting with one call I was able to get my deposit back. Would not use this company again.

Things started a little roughly when the two men originally assigned to the job left very early (around 1:30 P.M.) on a day when we went out and were not expected to return until late in the afternoon. We came home much earlier than expected and found they had left. I thought something might have been wrong and called Dave, the owner. Dave was less than pleased that these two had left the job and fired one immediately. The other, Adam, was kept in their employ primarily because he knew where the various pieces of gutter were to be replaced. However, he was replaced as lead by Sean who took over the job from there on and did a great job. As the job neared completion, Adam was assigned to seal the seams between the gutter pieces and either failed to do the sealing at all or did a very poor job. Sean caught the faulty workmanship and remedied the problem right away. Adam was somewhat confrontational when I told him his work was unacceptable and, as a result, was fired. The painters did an excellent job as did Rob who did most of the work with Sean.

Though one of the workers who was relatively new to One Call Construction did a poor job Dave and his company, including Sean, handled the situation very well and assured that the job was done in an excellent manner. It seems we can tell the good from the bad when things go wrong and in this case Dave and his company made sure that one bad apple didn't spoil the job. Dave, Sean, Rob, and the painters all bent over backwards to make sure the work was done well and in a timely fashion. We genuinely appreciate their efforts.
