You may have our company confused with a plumbing service that is located in your area. We are sorry you had a poor experience with them. There is another Gary Pluming in our town. Please revisit this review and correct it since we have not provided services to you. Thank you for your time."
We woke on 4 Jan 2015 to find we had no hot water pressure. My husband went online and put in a Service Request to American Home Shield (AHS), our home warranty provider. He promptly received a confirmation email with a Dispatch #. The company we were assigned by AHS did not contact us within the required time frame, did not call the warranty company back within the required time frame and wanted to do work that was completely unnecessary to fix the problem.
After 4 days this company had still not contacted the warranty service for authorization to perform any repairs. We insisted that another company be assigned.
On Friday morning we got an email from the warranty company that Gary?s Plumbing had been assigned to our call. Gary?s was at our house right after lunch that day. We told them what the previous company diagnosed and that they wanted to replace mixing valves in the house faucets and that my husband thought that was bogus. They quickly diagnosed that there was no pressure coming into the hot water heater and that it was either the inlet valve to the tank or the dip tube was completely blocked with sediment. They called the warranty company back while they were still at the house and got repair authorization. They left and were back within an hour with parts. After determining it was not the valve they replaced the hot water heater. Examining the old water heater it was plain the cold water dip tube was completely blocked. By 5 p.m. we had hot water flowing in our house again.
The plumbers from Gary?s were very friendly and efficient. Even though they knew we only had to pay a $75.00 service charge and the warranty company would pay the rest, they looked at the cheaper fix first (the inlet valve) before determining it was the hot water heater itself that was bad. Their main concern was that we have hot water again that day. We knew Gary?s had a good reputation and that day they proved it.
