ANDY'S SCOOTER REPAIR

I dropped off my scooter on a Saturday afternoon at Andy's on Truman (A&M Scooters ) to have a slow leak repaired. Only 4 days later did I receive a response. It was ready, and the bill was for $77. That is absurd for what should have only been a new inner tube and labor. I had been taking scooters to Andy's for more than 10 years, and the price was never more than $30, and that usually included a pickup. It appears, however, that Andy's is under new management. I was going to dispute the charge using the system that the County Clerk's Office has in place. Pay the Clerk and then go through a judge to determine if the price was valid. In order to do that, I needed to get a receipt from Andy's. They refused to give me one. The manager on duty said that he didn't want to go through the trouble of trying to be paid through the County. Instead, the manager pulled out a knife and slashed the tire and inner tube. I arrived with a slow leak. They sent me away with a slashed tire. I filed a report with the Key West Police Department, but let this be a warning to everyone. Andy's is the scooter shop to avoid.
