Very professional. Nothing damaged. Cleaned up the site, ground stumps, chipped and removed the trees. Very happy with the service. The price was high and we had to wait for them to schedule us. But it was worth the piece of mind having a company who knew what they were doing!

I'm on the board of our home association and we use the same company for the whole association.  We use Zimmerman Tree Service for the trees.  We use them every month.  We're still using them but we're not happy with them.

The tree removal was done according to contract, however the stump was not ground down below ground and in fact is still 1 foot above the ground. When the crew was grinding the stump, I (and my son) questioned why the stump and ground wood chips were so high, and the foreman advised that he was able to grind some roots and the pile of chips would settle substantially, after a good rain. We had a good rain a week later and I did not notice much difference in the height of the chips and stump, so I decided to remove the chips to see how low the grinding ground the tree stump and saw that the stump was substantially above ground level. I complained to Zimmerman, (sales Manager Orli Zimmerman) and after 3 exchanges and over 2 weeks, she came out to see the tree stump and disputed that the stump was above the ground, but said that she would be willing to partially grind the stump further, (trunk area, which was not clearly defined, but stated she would not grind the perimeter without a new contract. I argued the point and reminded her that the contract and work agreement stated, without limitation, that the entire stump will be ground below ground level and she refused to grind the entire stump without a new contract. I also complained about the severe damage done to my lawn and sprinkler system. I marked all of the sprinkler heads with red flags, but the tractor driver drove over several of them with the front and back tires, breaking several heads and sprinkler lines. IN following up I advised Orli Zimmerman that I would pursue all necessary recourse to get satisfaction to have her complete the stump grinding and she stated that she was unaware of the extent of the tree stump, due to the wart fern that surrounded the tree(I removed the wart fern before the work commenced) and replied that "you claim to have been in business for 35 years and I don't believe that you were unable to estimate the work necessary to remove the tree and grind the stump below ground level". As far as I am concerned, Zimmerman did not complete the contracted work and I will proceed with all necessary recourse, legal and otherwise, unless the tree stump is grinding below ground level. I exchanged several messages (available if you are interested) and my front yard is a complete mess for 6 weeks since the work was performed, because I can not plant grass or shrubs, due to the height of the tree stump, and bringing in a stump grinder will damage any new plantings. I have started reporting Zimmerman to consumer protection agencies as well as state of Florida, Department of Agriculture and will file complaint in small claims court.

The work was performed well and timely.  The only comment I have is that the loose "boots" below the top of the trees weren't removed, though I mentioned it to the workmen on site twice.  Other than that, they did a good job of the trimming and cleanup work.

It took three week from the time we signed the contract until they came to do the job. They had said they were running 2-3 weeks. They came when I was out of town so I wasn't there. They did do a good job taking down the dead stuff at the top of the tree but that is where the service ended. According to my contract they were supposed to do a lot more such as "remove loose boots, remove seed pods, and pull ferns and ficus. None of that was done. I called the sales person and he said he would come and look at it. He didn't come in a  week so I called back. He finally came and said that people like the fern growing out the trees. All he would do was take a saw out of his car and cut the seed sacks. Then he told me we are good.  He was dismissive and not happy about my questioning what was to be done. He said I miss understood what he said and what he wrote on my contract

I spoke to the office and they resent the crew to fix the trees as per my contract.  The workers that came to my home were fantastic. They were polite and apologized for not doing the job correctly the first time. The redid the job to perfection. I really appreciated them coming back and making it right.

After my initial call to Zimmerman Tree Service to setup an appointment for an estimate on trimming two palm trees, I was contacted within a few hours by one of their field representatives, Doug.  Doug came out to the property at the scheduled time to evaluate the job and an estimate for the work was emailed shortly thereafter.

Once I signed-off on the estimate, Doug arranged for his crew to perform the work within a week.  The crew arrived as scheduled, were professional and courteous and did a wonderful job, especially when it came to the cleanup of all debris.  Doug was there to oversee the job and make sure that we were pleased with the results.

Based on this experience, I would certainly consider Zimmerman Tree Service in the future.

Because of all the rain the region received last summer (Isaac) & then Sandy, the trees were sitting in backflow from Wellington's horse farms (40 ppm N for >5 days) and these trees grew 5 feet before the end of 2012.  The button woods were cut back with a chainsaw, and all the trimmings from all the trees were shredded and removed.  However, the foreman of this crew didn't reduce the crowns of the  3 Live Oaks, and so, three months later, I hired American Tree service to do a remediation.
This company also has the contract for the community's trimming of > 600 Palms and > 600 "hardwoods", but they've been doing a superficial trimming of the hardwoods for > 5 yrs...and 45-50 foot tall Live Oaks 15 feet behind the homesites are hurricane hazards.
I will not hire this company to do any more trimming for my own site...and will supervise more intensely their future activity for the community trimming.  They don't climb the tall trees.

There was a bit of a lag in actually getting the work done once their proposal was agreed to, made a few phone calls before the work got done. Otherwise excellent service as in the past.

I have written a letter to the president of the company and they have not responded in a timely fashion, and there have been times when they have not responded at all, and their service was unsatisfactory.

The service we paid for was not delivered and they did not prevent the destruction of our bushes even though we did have them come out and treat again to prevent the plants from dying.  We did hear from others that there have been numerous complaints about the young man who was servicing our yard and in general have just recently found out that there have been many complaints about the company itself.

I had asked them if they could use a more natural product and they said that it was not available, which is not true because we are actually doing it ourselves and using the natural treatment on our plants trying to see if we can bring them back to life.

We would not recommend them to anyone.  In fact we would warn other people about them.  We would absolutely not use them again in the future.

They were well staffed. They sent a good amount of people out to ensure safety. They cleaned up after themselves and removed all debris in a very timely manner.
