THE BUSHEL STOP

Potting soil sold to me consisted of pulverized scrap wood, wood pulp and crushed styrofoam. No soil at all was found in the product. I sent a workman to procure a half bucket of potting soil for me. He returned with a Bushel Stop receipt clearly marked "Potting Soil". The product contained no soil or any organic plant matter except wood pulp, and chipped scrap lumber. Something had been added to the wood pulp to make it appear brownish in color. Crushed styrofoam was added to give the appearance of bone meal. The product was clearly intended to pass for potting soil, but was actually processed trash. This was clearly an abusive and deceptive business practice, and all landscaping customers should be aware of the hazards of purchasing products from such an establishment. The "product" only cost $25, so live an learn there for me! But I was also out the money I paid a laborer to deliver it, and then the money I paid to have it taken to a landfill. I do not want to deal with any business owner who would dare pass off trash as any kind of product, so I'm not interested in restitution from this business. I want them to either be hurt by lost business, and so be forced to change practices, or go out of business completely so that other consumers are not hurt by this business. I simply want other customers to be able to find this complaint on line and know not to do business with such an establishment.

The Bushel Stop is excellent and fabulous. They’re reputable, pricing is good, deliver when they say they would and we never had any problems with them. They have wonderful plant specimens. They give you contractor names if you need somebody to plant stuffs and deliver it on time. They don’t ruin anything. The people there are very nice, knowledgeable and helpful.

They have great customer service and they are very clean  and have some great ideas and recommendations. They have really good displays.

They have a wide variety of plants, stone, and walkway material.  The quality of their plants and matierials were above average as well.

They're fine, they have a good range of products. They are a bit pricey I think.
