We have a very large but older backyard pool. The pool was in desperate need of a makeover. We called Pinch a Penny and met with the store Manager Joseph Trageser. We felt very comfortable with Joe and he offered ideas to revamp the pool without breaking the bank. Joe sent his best tile man Dusti who did a fantastic job. The old tile was removed and Dusti finished our pool with beautiful tile. He really took his time and did the job the right way. They also acid washed the pool and wow did it come out nice! We are very pleased and everyone who sees our pool now remarks about how beautiful it is.

Joe's asst. called me and gave me a detailed list and quote of the Navigator items needing R/R.  They had checked the pump/filter function and found no fault.  I said I would R/R the Navigator components myself and they did not charge me for the visit.  I've been using Joe at PAP, for over 4yrs, and found he/them to be proficient and fair.  He replaced a motor and impeller over that time.  I'll continue to recommend them.

I moved to Jupiter Farms and started using Pinch-a-penny pool. There were no problems in the beginning. All of a sudden, each time Joe or his staff cMe and added chemicals in the pool they would turn the pool green. Joe would come back reluctantly and NEVER remembered my name or reference to my home despite having to come back multiple times to fix the pool. He and his staff clearly could not figure out how to balance of the pool chemicals. Last week Joe turned the pool green (not a surprise) and rather than coming to fix it, he FIRED me, the customer!!! He did not ethically take care of the problem. I called to discuss the matter and his office staff NIcole HUNG up on me stating I yelled at her. I did no such thing and she was exceptionally rude. What happened to good old customer service??? What happened to tray people nicely? Do yourself a favor....stay very clear of this company! They may start off okay buying you experience a problem their true colors come out...

they redid our coping and tile on our pool.   It came out lovely but they cracked our skimmer water pipe causing it to leak by using a jack hammer too close to the pipe and refused to repair it.  Also we purchased a high end hot tub that was not filtering correctly 4 months after we purchased it and they basically said that it was our problem and suggested buying more equipment to circumvent the problem.

The pricing was right in line with other quotes I had received.  In the end, I chose Pinch a Penny because I felt comfortable with the associates and could tell the owner really took pride in his business and cares about his customers.

They were on time. They were very personable. They were courteous and kind throughout the whole thing. I would most definitely use them again in the future.
