Dixie Plumbing FAILED to install a replacement hot water heater completely and in compliance with Jupiter, FL codes.  A replacement hot water heater was ordered from the company.  It was a good price and they were able to come out quickly to install the replacement.  I was a smaller gallon capacity (30 rather than a 40 gallon) than the existing unit which meant that the unit was shorter than the original and thus the conduit was also shorter than now needed. Jupiter codes require that a hot water heater be hard-wired electrically and that the wires are in conduit.  Upon completion of the installation the installer did not completely cover the electric wires with conduit as had previously been done with the existing unit.  When asked at the time of installation and in a later complaint about the installation, we were told that we could get some new conduit and do it ourselves.  In the follow up call, it was further stated that they were just trying to save us some money since the work would have to be done by a licensed electrician.  This is an electrical  connection that the installer had just taken off the old unit and installed on the new unit.  Instead of putting on a new conduit he just put on the old shorter conduit thus leaving 8-10 inches of wires exposed without conduit.  When asked to return to complete the job satisfactorally the installer just re-itereated the need for a licesnsed electrician.  I have been a party to the replacement of several hot water heaters and the plumber always handles the electrical connection.

They installed a utility sink in my laundry area. They arrived on time and then left to get parts. Returned 40 minutes later and did the install. Original bill showed an additional hour, but when I called to his attention he refigured it. The sink works great, I would likely use this plumber again.

Phil from Dixie Plumbing has done work for us on several occasions in the past, and has always been very professional, knowledgeable, personable, prompt, and capable. This time was no exception. He arrived the same day we called for service after calling first to let us know he was on his way. He promptly and accurately assessed the problems and repaired them. Dixie Plumbing has never let us down! Our experience with them has been perfect!!

I've used Dixie Plumbing Service Inc. for a lot of things, including to fix my water heater and for outside faucets. They're very prompt. You can call them on a Saturday and they're there in like 15 minutes. They have a really good service. That's why I use them. I don't mind paying a little extra. They're good. They have one guy that works with them, Jake.
