Artistic Heating and Air Conditioning

"Artistic did not install T-stat in the first place for this customer or in this apartment, in fact Artistic had disconnected the humidistat along with by-passing the relay and the float switches so it could run. The member had asked the service tech if he sould replace the unit since it was over 10 years old. He was to at that time to just replace bad parts but he did notice that the freon was gray and my be a little burnt in the system, that this may cause trouble down the road. The member then said to just go ahead and replace the system before he moved in, to be on the safe side. He gave his Credit Card number over the phone for the deposit of half down. The morning of the install (a week before Christmas), the member called Artistic and told them he did not want the new unit because someone else had looked at it and said the humidistat (that was disconected by sevice tech for artistic and told to the member) was wired wrong. Artistic informed the member that this would be fine but there would be a 10% restocking fee, charged by the distributor (not by Artistic) and that there world be Artistic's original charge for the repairs and that Artistic could credit back the deposit and just charge the new charges to his card or he could send a check. The member said he would call back and let us know. Then when artistic tried to credit back deposit, card had been canceled. This and the fact his phone was turned off, made Artistic assume the member had gotten into some financial problems over the holiday's and got himself over his head. Artistic has still not been paid to this day by the member."

"This is far from accurate,The customer was not there but her daughter who had been home on a visit from her job in the circus was. The coil was pulled from attic unit and the fan was left on (by request of the daughter) to try and keep the air blowing in the house so it would not get to warm for the pets.There was a smell from the old unit because there was a lot of mold and dirt inside the old system. The coil was cleaned in the driveway (at request of daughter) so it would not damage the grass or plants just planted. Coil was caked with dirt and mold from not using a filter and age. After coil was completely cleaned and sanitized, it was reinstalled. Coil was in very poor shape, so was recommended that they consider a new unit in the future. The driveway was already covered in rust and durt, but the owner of Artistic wanted to make the customer happy (she appeared upset because she told him she could not afford a new unit at that time), so he went ahead and offered to have her driveway cleaned. She asked for prices on a new unit so she would know what she was looking at down the road so a estimate was done and the bill for $479 was given to the customer for the work that had been done already. She said she would mail the check but never did. She was then sent to collections"
