For over 30 years Abundant Energy has been providing it's Florida customers high quality solar energy installations and world class service. We have specialized divisions in both residential and commercial solar applications to serve you better. We are a family owned and operated and are a factory direct distributor and warranty station for nearly all of our products. We hire no subcontractors for all of our residential applications, so as a homeowner you are always dealing with one company and one point of contact throughout your project.

I expressed I was not paying for a visit I was not told there would be a charge for. I was under the impression this was a warranty call. After some attitude I was told he was sending the tech back to remove the temporary fix (different kind of pump). I later returned home to find wires hanging. I researched the problem, found the manufacturer of the direct drive pump, and fixed the system myself for $157 dollars . It took me less than 5 minutes to install the part (4 screws and 2 wires). After speaking to the manufacturer of the pump, I was told it was the most expensive system he has ever heard of installed. That is my fault for not researching it more.
So the estimate of almost $600 cost me $157 to fix myself!!
ABUNDANTLY USELESS ENERGY!!!
BUYER BEWARE!!!! This company hides behind solar energy benefits and alternative power for those that want to have clean energy to OVERCHARGE, and not stand behind their work.
"On 7/26/2013, Abundant Energy installed a solar water heating system consisting of an 80 gallon solar tank and 4x10 panels with a DC pump and a PV cell for $7495.00. On 11/11/14, [name removed] called the office to report a possible roof leak and never returned calls to schedule a service call. On 12/30/14, [name removed] called to report no hot water was being produced. We scheduled a service call for that day. When the tech inspected the system he found a check valve on the return line was clogged and was not allowing the water to circulate. The lack of circulation caused pressure to build and water leaked into the DC pump causing it to short out. Abundant Energy provided 1 year free service on this system. We were beyond the one year point. [name removed] was charged a $90.00 service call and an addition 1/2 hour of labor at $30.00, we were there for 60 minutes, we provide 30 minutes with the service call. He was charged $50.00 for the check valve we replaced. He refused to pay the $170.00 for that service. We had put a "service" pump on his system to get him back up and running until a new pump could be installed. There would not have been a return service fee as stated, only the cost of the pump. When [name removed] refused to pay for the work done, we removed the pump, isolated the system to prevent damage due to lack of circulation as had happened before and left the home. I'm glad [name removed] was able to get the equipment on the internet and install it himself, but it would not have worked if we had not replaced the check valve that caused the problem in the first place."
