They did a good job. We put $50,000 in it, but it turned out very good. They did all of the work. If I had put new cabinets in, it would've been better. For what I was working with, I was trying not to do a whole kitchen remodel at that price. The floors were the hard thing and cost $20,000, but the floors look excellent. They red-did all of the floors in the whole place that was 1600 sq. ft. After they had started the work, they noticed that they didn't estimate enough. They were trying not to do our punch-list. We didn't give them they're last payment until they did everything that we had on our punch-list. They kept saying to give them the money and that would come back, and we told them we weren't giving them the money until they get there because the things were too little, but they came and did it. They were minor things. They weren't real big things. I'm glad that my husband was really adamant about that and stuck with it. They did a lot of work in our building, and they do really good work. The price is a little high. They did say that they were going to be done in six weeks and of course it took like three months. They were waiting on the doors, but they should've factored that in. They did a great job and you get what you pay for. They did the floors well and the carpentry work turned out excellent. They need to make sure that they are more timely and to estimate how long the job will get done in their quote.

Mike emailed an estimate for having work done after coming here, and despite my repeated calls and emails with questions, he never responded. How unprofessional and what a complete waste of my time! If he's that unresponsive when you're considering working with him, what would he be like when you've already hired them?

Extremely disappointed in Island Kitchen. They were good at sales, but inefficient at the job site. They subcontract and DO NOT monitor the work being done. They have a few good employees, if your lucky enough to get them on your job. Unfortunately, if you get a bad project manager, as I did with having Justin, your out of luck. After my bathroom was just about finished, they tell me they have no way to finish the edges, except to paint them. Luckily for me the tile man worked with me and we figured out how to finish the edges. This is what I paid Island Kitchen for. They took out shelves in my master closet, which they broke and badly repaired, so they will not be able to be taken down again without falling apart. They removed the shelves in the kitchen closet, they put 1/2 of it back in. They put the first half in wrong, hence the reason they walked away without installing the second half. Island Kitchen made 2 appointments to come correct/finish problems and just never showed. I had to hire other people to finish what they left behind. They never bothered to close out the permits. Not enough space to list the problems they were so plentiful, and these are just the minor problems. I would NOT recommend them.

At the beginning of 2014 we moved to Hutchinson Island into our vacation condo to make it our permanent home. The condo had not been updated since the 70's. We talked with Mike and Dayna at Island Kitchen and Bath about renovating our kitchen and very quickly recognized that these folks knew their business. My wife and I have an extensive background in commercial and residential real estate and project/construction management, so we knew what to look for in a general contractor. Mike gave us a solid competitive quote on a full high end kitchen renovation as well as removing all our popcorn ceilings, re-texturing, and painting. Turning an unused wet bar into additional master closet space. New contemporary baseboards through out and the bulk of the flooring replaced with beautiful tile. The Island Kitchen and Bath construction team was top notch, worked hard, kept things clean, met all city codes, and were the best group of guys to work with, especially Gordon our Project Manager. He brought the job in on budget and most importantly on time and was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Island Kitchen and Bath if you expect a professional high quality experience and a beautiful finished product.

Everything went very well. Everything they said was right on target, and everything was completed by deadline and the price was very competitive. I would recommend them to others. Everything ended up looking pristine.
