Coastal Animal Hospital

Drs. Mitchell and Carlson and their many technicians have always provided excellent care. They are gentle and caring, and my animals love them. They are highly knowledgeable and skilled and saved the life of one of my cats who had developed a serious illness. The office staff is professional and competent. I am so thankful to have found this wonderful animal hospital.

Misty has allergies and she is on special diets and special food so we are there once a month at least. It's not a huge animal hospital. 

She will come to the house if I need her. I've been using them for 6 or 7 years maybe. They are all wonderful. Misty loves to go see them because they make a big deal over her. They are really nice and just made for this type of work.

The price is average for veterinarians.

The office staff and both doctors were extremely competent and caring. The follow up calls and visits were equally excellent and they will take a patient in distress on a moments notice. Highly recommend this small office where you are treated like one of the family.

We were served promptly at the time of our appointment, first spending some time with the receptionist/assistant, getting our puppy Brady registered as a new patient and Brady's particulars and medical history recorded.  The assistant who processed the paperwork and performed some initial examination tasks was professional, courteous, and friendly.  Dr. Bonnie then came in and performed a thorough examination of our puppy Brady. I met Dr. Bonnie last year when we moved to Port Saint Lucie last year and brought our cat Papi to her for an initial exam and shots.  Then, and now, I found Dr. Bonnie to be very professional, courteous, and friendly. My wife really likes her too. Dr. Bonnie answered all of our questions completely, including those relating to feeding and potty training. She handled Brady in a gentle professional manner during her examination.  To trim his nails and give him a shot, Dr. Bonnie took Brady back to her work area, while we waited in the waiting room. While waiting there, we talked to two other waiting pet owners, both of whom expressed their complete satisfaction with Dr. Bonnie and the hospital.  I should note that we originally selected Dr. Bonnie to be our veterinarian based on the recommendation of our neighbor. I have already recommended her to another dog owner in our neighborhood who was dissatisfied with her current veterinarian. There are several veterinarians closer to us than Coastal Animal Hospital, but it is definitely worth the extra ride.

Dr. Mitchell took Coconut to the back to trim his nails because he doesn't like anyone touching his nails. I thought it would be a good idea. She said he was very good and Coconut seems to like her. I bought a year of heart guard at a discounted price. We went to 3 other vets in Port Saint Lucie before finding Coastal Animal Hospital. I would highly recommend them.

It is a husband and wife company and I just started going there; they are very good. I have two cats and the veterinarians take the time to explain things to me; it is not a big hospital. If you go to their website they have a coupon for a free initial exam for your animal. Yesterday I thought one of my cats had a respiratory infection but the vet checked her out and she is fine.
