Two Men & A Truck

My family hired Two men and a truck to move our belongings from Jacksonville to St.Augustine. During the process they broke a new 65” TV that was just purchased less than a year ago that was working perfectly. I went through their claims process and they informed me their insurance only covers up to .60 per pound and that I would be awarded $40 compensation for their workers breaking a TV that they were paid to move. Do not trust these people with your personal belongings they DO NOT care about them and WILL not give you the compensation to replace what they break during their moving process. Save yourself time, money and an enormous headache by hiring a U-Haul and doing it yourself or look deep into the companies bad reviews because you can see I’m not the only one that has this issue. They will hold your feet to the fire of their contracts and will not help you replace or repair what they have damaged has been my personal experience using Two men and a truck

The move my stuff from point A and just drop in my garage at point B, 2 of my furniture it’s broke, the over charge me and under delivered, very bad, run from this individual’s, they lie to you in a cold face, still waiting for the “manager” to call me back, guess will be a surprise when he get a hold of my lawyer instead.

Let's see if they delete this review. I was scammed by the Jacksonville, FL team. If their phone number is 904-745-0705 DO NOT USE THEM. They quoted me a move from a 3 bedroom condo to a house in town for $2645 which included packing, boxes, loading ONE truck and off loading to my new house. Day one, they packed everything, and all went as expected. Day 2, after the same guys spent 4 hours or so packing my belongings and going into mid day of the loading, they tell me that they need another truck/crew in order to finish the job. Of course, I'm in a bind as I have to vacate the condo I had just sold, so they got me with what ended up being another $1,000 I was not planning for. To make things worse, they damaged one of my TV's but said it wasn't worth anything and offered $100 "just to get rid of me" and it's been a month after the move and still haven't received the check... That's ok, I don't need it. So they are going to respond that the initial quote was an ESTIMATE.. understand that, but one of the kids that did the packing and came for the loading on day 2 told me that he knew and communicated the prior day that they were going to need more than one truck after packing. Reader be ware... Again DON"T USE THESE GUYS.

Buyer beware of this company.  I had them move two mattresses, two boxsprings, a couch, a chaise lounge and about 30 boxes less than .4 miles into a storage unit from a downstairs apartment.  The charged me $1,034.  3 hours was just for the "move" to this day I'm not sure what the move included since it didn't take 3 hours to load the items or drive the .4 miles from Montreaux condominiums to Cubesmart.  An additional 2 hours was charged for packing the boxes further causing me to question the 3 hour charge for "move".   At $130 per hour I would assume that packing would have been included. They didn't bring enough boxes so I had to go to Home Depot during the packing to buy additional boxes.  The drivers blamed the office saying "they do this all the time" and the office blamed me saying I should have told them what they needed.  They got started later than scheduled (time given between 1-3, arrival time 4p.m.) and dragged the move out.  They packed the storage unit wrong so all my items wouldn't fit.  They agreed to keep it in the truck until I negotiated with CubeSmart for payment  I called the drivers on Sunday and told them that CubeSmart agreed to help pay for the move to a bigger unit.  In hopes that they would drop it of Sunday because I would be out of town Monday.  The driver hung up in my face and told me they were closed on Sunday.  First thing Monday morning, they dropped the left over items off in my old storage unit without permission. They didn't call to tell me what they had done, I found out when CubeSmart called demanding I move the items from the unit immediately because it was no longer my unit.  Just so happens, I was on my way to a job interview out of town.  I contacted the GM "Pete" upset and looking for options, he swore he knew nothing of any of this and even though I sent him an email complaining about the move early Sunday morning he states that he was planning to call me "later".  He blamed me for them not having enough boxes, he refused to reduce the cost claiming that they were within their estimate.  The estimate was bogus starting at $500 and going as high as $1800.  My sister moved an entire house full of furniture $1500.  I never received an apology for illegally dropping the last few items off at CubeSmart on Touchton Rd.  Did I mention that the drivers cussed out the manager of CubeSmart when he tried to stop them from just leaving my stuff?  If there were a such thing as a zero rating this company would warrant.  I hate this because I've used Two men and a truck in other areas and gave them great reviews.  The Jacksonville, Arlington Expressway does not deserve to be allowed to use their good name!  Shame on them for destroying the good reputation others worked so hard to establish.

They were an outstanding company. I give my hats off to them for being professional. They were very honest and very helpful with me. They had to move a large piece of furniture that was in the way. They had to move the furniture and pull to the other. Placed my new furniture in the appropriate area. They did not overcharge me. They gave me complete satisfaction of what I needed. They were more than helpful and they asked me if there is anything else, they could do for me during their time there. The reason that cost so much was driving the truck out and I don’t agree with that. Pricing was reasonable other than to drive the truck here.

I was very impressed with the level of professionalism and service I was given. The crew worked especially hard to try and accommodate a difficult move. The only "wrinkle" I can cite is that when I called to book the service, I was given a different quote than the first quote given, but this was quickly resolved. I highly recommend them.

The only downside was they were supposed to send three movers and only sent two.  They may an adjustment of my bill to offset it, but it made for a long day.  I would hire them again.

Two men did show up at about 9:45am (the quoted time was between 8-9) with a moving truck. They looked at the contents of the house and gave an estimate of 6-7 hours and approx. $700. About 1 hour later another man showed up with a truck. About two hours into the job one of the men was pulled from the job because he "was needed at another location", a girl came by car and picked him up. That left two men and two trucks, the movers were very good, however production slowed way down. They got one truck loaded and started loading the second truck when it was brought up that the second truck was broken down. My friend whom had hired the company spoke with the manager and she told him they would just have to put his things in storage until Monday (this was a Saturday) because she could not send out another truck. He told her that was unacceptable because he had to move in that day. So the two guys had to remove everthing from the truck that wasn't working to try and consolidate everything into one truck. Needless to say this was adding a lot of time to the move which is charged by the hour. Right before they were going to drive the loaded truck to the new house someone appeared and worked on the other truck and miraculouly got it running. At that point it was almost 8pm so they didn't have time to load the other truck.  Everything did not fit in one truck so many things were left behind. The two men drove two trucks, one full and one empty and arrived at the new house at 8:30pm and the fee for the move was $1,100 instead of $700. The company is very aware of the situation and have done nothing to make ammends for the ridiculous and grossly over-charged job that was done that day. I would not recommend this company to anyone, poor business skills, definitely out for the money with no regard for the customer.

They were very good at what they did.  They were polite and efficient.

First class service from my first phone call to Betty at 4:55 PM on a Thursday to discuss their service and estimated pricing. Another representative called us on the following Monday to confirm pick up the following day and to review approx. items involved in move. The scheduled arrival was between 8:30 to 9:30. The two guys and a truck arrived right at 8:30 and they promptly got to work, finishing up the final unload and furniture placement by 4:30.  This was a local move and they met our every expectation. Both guys were courteous, friendly, hardworking and responsible. They represented their company very well and did their jobs professionally and diligently. Very impressive experience and a company that I would have no problems recommending and using again.

They are good. They called around and gave us the estimate, their pricing was good.

They were great. They were very reliable. They were paid by the hour but there was no worry as they were very productive and did not waste anytime.

They could carry things that we could not do alone. They did everything we asked them to and had made a list of things to be moved prior to their arrival. It was convenient for us. They wrapped pretty much everything in bubble wrap. They called 48 hours prior to arrival and arrived on time. They always asked questions. They did not just bring things in and leave them anywhere.

Each time that I have moved, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK have arrived at the time stated.  The owner, Betty, is always friendly and goes out of her way to accommodate your needs.  I have had special concerns about the care of my furniture and Betty ensures that I am taken care of.  The employees behave in a polite and professional manner.  I have never had another moving company take such special care of my furniture either!  During one of the moves, my mother had just passed away, and it was a sad time.  The movers were so caring and compassionate and made things easier on me.  I did not have to worry about anything.  I would recommend this company above all other moving companies.

They are very good. They have moved household goods from my apartment to the storage unit and from the storage unit to my home and things like that. The job went very well. They are very professional and they do their job. They are very careful with my stuff. They explain things and are very helpful. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if needed.

It was excellent. They were on time and careful with our furniture. I’m happy with their services.

When they were moving the furniture the men were very careful not to break anything. They put blankets down on all the floors not to scratch anything. I was very pleased with the service and I will be using them again. I would also recommend two men and a truck to anyone.

Two Men and a Truck did a great job. We didn't have any problems with them breaking items. The men were very friendly, too. I have utilized them many times.
