"Hello Mr. (consumer name removed) we are so disappointed you left this review. The last thing the in world we want is for you to be disappointed. We will be reaching out to resolve."
"Thank you ! we very much appreciate the positive review!"
"Thank you for the positive review, we appreciate you !"
"Thank you for the letter. We were very saddened to receive it. We never want to disappoint our customers, but we clearly did in this case. Unfortunately, there was an infestation of dove weed, which is a weed we do not cover. Dove weed begins growing in May to June. The products that offer dove weed control are applied in cooler temperatures, so it grows in the "gap" between these product applications. There are products labeled for dove weed pre-emergence, but our experience with these products demonstrates little effectiveness (cannot treat pro-actively) and we have very limited ability to treat once emerged. Because Mr. [Member Name Removed] is a long-time customer, we did offer compensation for sod needed due to the dove weed infestation. We reached out to Mr. [Member Name Removed] to try and resolve once we received this letter and offered other compensation but that was also declined. We are willing to continue to treat for Mr. [Member Name Removed], and are willing to try other products in an effort to help and we are waiting for Mr. [Member Name Removed]'s response. This is an unfortunate situation where our ability to help and offer treatment is very limited, the products are simply not on the market. We don't like telling customers we cannot help with certain items, but sometimes we have to. There are some issues we do not have products for or the products lack efficacy, there are some pests that are resistant to the products available. There is no silver bullet, but we are willing to try to help if Mr. [Member Name Removed] is open to that option."
"We value our long term customers and do not like to lose them for any reason. We do not show this account cancelled, and we are glad to keep you. We will work hard to earn an A."
"Thank you!"
"Thank you for your review! We are glad you were happy with our service. We apologize you haven’t received your credit yet, however the credit should be coming from Angie’s List. Since you pay them directly they handle any refunds. We will email our representative at the company and see if we can get you any information in the meantime."
"Thank you for the review. We are disappointed that we only earned a C, please let us know what we can do to earn an A. Someone will be out to check your lawn and contact you so we can get the A ball rolling!"
"Thank you for taking the time to write this review! We are happy to hear your feedback and so glad you are happy with our service! We are honored that you have trusted us to care for your lawn and shrubs for so many years!"
I HAD SOD REPLACED FOR $1,000 AT THE FRONT END OF THE CONTRACT. THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. WHAT THEY FORGET IS DESPITE THE "FREE" REPLACEMENT I STILL HAD TO PAY THE EXTRA WATERING BILLS. I HAVE EXCESSIVE SEDGE AND OTHER WEEDS THAT SOMEHOW MY NEW LAWN SERVICE HAS BEEN ABLE TO BEGIN THE PROCESS OF ELIMINATING. I HAVE PICTURES, I WATER BILLS, I HAVE A LAWN THAT IS IN WORSE SHAPE THAN A YEAR AGO WHEN TRADS BEGAN "SERVICE" AND THEY NOW THREATEN COLLECTIONS IF I DON'T PAY $116 FOR THE MARCH "TREATMENT". I WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND TRADS AGAIN. THEY ARE, IN MY OPINION, POORLY MANAGED AND VERY DISORGANIZED.
"Thank you for the email. We are not sure how to respond because our records show pest control service calls responded to promptly and we feel we have worked with Mr [Member name removed] to make him happy. Trad's guarantees 6 lawn applications and 3 shrub applications during the service year. We have treated the lawn 7 times and treated the shrubs 3 times during the 6 months the service has been active. Trad's automatically assigns a lawn sprayer and a lawn technician to every account, and we did so with this account as well. A call is placed, by the technician, before any visit or treatment. The service started 3/30/15 and Trad's started treatment on 3/31/15. The lawn had active chinch bugs and large areas of previous damage at the time of start. The [Member name removed] paid to have the previous damage replaced and Trad's installed the sod on 4/24/15. Some of the sod died due to inadequate irrigation. Trad's replaced the sod at no charge on July 8, 2015, despite the fact that we do not warranty sod. We did this because we felt our Garden Center did not respond to Mr. [Member name removed] appropriately and timely when he called with concerns about the sod. We install premium sod. Lack of proper irrigation and the presence of sod worms several months later is not an indication of bad sod. Sod worms are seasonal and the treatment for sod worms is curative, there is very little prevention that can be done and what can be done, we do. We time our treatments at 6 to 8 week intervals, throughout the growing season. When there is sunshine, the intervals are at 6 weeks, however when there is rain, the intervals are normally at 8 weeks. We cannot control the weather, we work in the conditions mother nature presents. We have had a great deal of rain this season, interrupted by periods of very dry drought. Pest Control shows three service calls, one placed on Friday 6/26/15 and Trad's responded on Monday, 6/29/15. We are closed on the weekends, so the response ws the next business day. On 08/20/15 Trad's treated the lawn with insect control (for sod worms and chinch bugs) and fertilizer, but Mr. [Member name removed] called the following day with the request that the lawn be checked for sod worms and that he felt Trad's had not been out in a month. Mr. [Member name removed] called on 9/29/15 requesting a meeting, the call was returned the same day. The Lead Tech left a message asking to set an appointment and apologized to Mr. [Member name removed] for his lack of satisfaction. We have not had a response to this message. We have reduced the total due"
"Thank you for your review! We are so happy to have you as a long time customer!"
"Dollar weeds are difficult to control and nearly impossible to prevent. They have extremely long roots and often migrate into yards from neighbors, retention ponds, shrub and flower beds. Because the last few seasons have had heavy rainfall, the whole region is experiencing heavy weed growth. Trad’s adds weed control products to some of the six applications we make each year, although weeds often require treatments in between the routine treatments. Trad’s sprayers set up 6 additional treatments for weeds in 2015 and 3 additional treatments in 2016. We will continue to work diligently on this issue and thank Ms. [Member Name Removed] on the valuable feedback."
"Thank you for your positive review! We will let your inspector know you are happy with his service. We are honored to have you as a customer and glad we can work together to keep your lawn looking great!"
"Thank you for the letter and comments from Mr. [Member Name Removed], although we are a bit surprised since this was resolved in April. Mr. [Member Name Removed] has a root rot fungus that preceded Trad’s and caused the damage to his lawn. There was nothing Trad’s or any company could have done to cure or prevent the fungus (since it lives in the soil). Our records show that our sprayer treated the lawn 2/15/16 and was very concerned about the condition of the lawn and reported that the lawn appeared to have significant winter damage. As a result, on 2/19/16, our inspection professional checked the lawn and asked that a manager follow up because the lawn went into winter healthy but emerged from winter damaged; and Trad’s did not make applications to the lawn during the winter. On 02/26/16 a Lead inspected the lawn and told Mr. [Member Name Removed] the lawn may have been damaged by the winter because it did not emerge from winter in the same condition. On 3/25/16 Mr. [Member Name Removed] called about the lawn and asked for direction. After checking the lawn, reviewing the service history and consulting with the Lead, our Service Manager decided to contact the County Extension Agent. The Service Manager was concerned by the symptoms he saw and believed that the lawn contracted a variety of take all root rot. The County Extension agent joined us on the lawn on 04/22/16 and on 5/27/16 the lab results confirmed the diagnosis of take all root rot and Centipede Grass Decline. Centipede Grass Decline is a root rot disease that is caused by stress to the lawn, normally improper cultural practices (infrequent mowing, mowing too low, stress from lack of or too much irrigation). The disease is only preventable by the person in control of mowing and irrigation, there is no product that can be applied to prevent or cure this disease. During our last conversation in April, Mr. [Member Name Removed] decided to re-sod the lawn with St. Augustine turf. Unfortunately this turf damage would have occurred no matter who was caring for the turf. The fungus is in the soil and was present before Trad’s started caring for the lawn. No matter what turf grass is planted, the take all root rot may affect it and the disease cannot be prevented or cured. Although we were certain damage was not caused by Trad’s, we took the extra steps to pull in an expert and test to get a proper diagnosis for our customer."
