The Underwood Butcher Block Co. was very easy to work with. We had obtained several bids on the (2) bathrooms. The Underwood Butcher Block Co was the only company that we spoke with that cared as much about the finished product as we did. The designer was very easy to work with, when the installer came out to install the cabinets and the closet. I was again amazed at the care he took at getting everything EXACTLEY as the plans stated. The overall care the entire company took to make our project successful again was incredible.

The one thing we noticed about The Underwood Butcher Block Co was they were ON TIME every time they made an appointment with us. Other contractors on the project were not ( as expected).

Ken with The Underwood Butcher Block Co. exceeded all of our expectations.  After visiting a friend that used Ken for their kitchen, my husband and I reached out to him. Ken personally came to our house and sat with us for almost 2 hours as we discussed design options and told him what we were looking for in our new kitchen. He showed us some pictures of work that he had recently completed and drew us some rough sketches during that time, and then he sent us drawings and allowed us to make any changes that we wanted. The estimate that Ken provided us with was less that several other quotes that we had received, and his product was a higher quality.

When it came time to install the kitchen is where Ken really won us over. Ken and his team easily worked 10-12 hour days until the project was completed. I felt so comfortable with him in my home that I often left for several hours at a time. The result was absolutely beautiful, custom white kitchen cabinets and a beautiful mahogany wood island. I've already recommended Ken to friends and family members- I can?t speak highly enough of not on the quality of his finished product, but the high level of customer service that we received from him.

It?s very obvious that Ken?s passionate about what he does and his attention to detail truly makes his kitchens stand out. Everyone who comes to our house compliments our kitchen and we are thrilled to be able to recommend Ken to them, knowing that they will receive the same high quality service and products that we did. Without question, we will use The Underwood Butcher Block Co. again.

We met Ken through a friend of a friend. We were talking about remodeling our kitchen and his name came up. He had done work for them in the past and they could not say enough about him. So we called Ken to talk about our kitchen remodel. Ken listened intently to what we were trying to accomplish, then shared some insight we would have never thought of. A few examples of this would be the solid wood drawer bottoms we now have, that are dove tail jointed to the sides of the drawers for enough strength to last the lifetime of the house, complete with 100 pound rated drawer glides, and they self close of course! All the lower cabinets pull out, and a few cool things like a pull out spice rack really help too. All of these things can probably be ordered from any big box store, but not without the mass produced shortcomings that are inevitable. Ken hand built our kitchen cabinets, and it shows. Ken is more of an artist then a woodworker, but we are sure glad he builds things! If your into quality, Kens your man.





After the job was completed, Ken left us with a couple of the butcher block cutting boards he also builds from scratch. He explained the craftsmanship that went into them too. Something about the grain of the wood being the wrong way on the cheap butcher blocks, I'm a believer!

Kens team did an amazing job. My expectations were not only met they were vastly exceeded. My wife and I bought a house and needed a kitchen remodel. We got quotes from two online companies, the two big box retailers, and Ken came through with better quality and a better value. We were first time re-modelers and Kens expertise and attention gave us better direction and understanding of what we wanted and what we truly needed. We really did not know the difference in quality of cabinets, but we now have an appreciation for the quality.

After Ken finished our cabinets he again amazed us with the beautiful butcher block counter-top. Our kitchen is absolutely beautiful.  Everyone that has seen it has asked for Ken's contact information.  We were impressed with Ken and his work that we hired him to do our custom built-ins and desk area. 

Bottom line: There was not one regret doing business with Underwood Butcher Block Co. We recommended him to several of our other friends who have used him or plan to use him as well. There is not a better value or quality available.  We will continue to use him for any future projects as well.
