It went horribly. Tim Sissler, the owner and promised president was the salesman but then subcontracted the work to someone else.
His subcontractor was a no-show on a couple of occasions, and late on other occasions. When I confronted Mr. Sissler about this problem, and other concerns, he became indignant and unprofessional. He raised his voice at me and kept saying, if you don't like it, you can fire me. He acted like it was our fault that his worker did not show up on two occasions. He never apologized and is the most unprofessional contractor I have ever dealt with.
When he was selling the job he kept saying that the job was not too small and that it would get his personal attention. That he would come every day and check on his sub to ensure the job was being done properly and professionally. He never did so.
Which I ultimately did. Unfortunately for me, I had paid him a substantial amount and he left me a mess from the demolition work that was already under way.
He had promised to contain all the dust and debris to the bathroom and to pass all the debris through the bathroom window to the outside instead of tracking it throughout the house. I explained that my wife had asthma and that I had concerns about polluting the air with dust from the demolition. He had promised to cover air vents and to contain the dust. This did not happen. His subcontractor traipsed through the house with the debris and did not take it out the window as promised.
My wife has asthma and she ended up in the hospital because of the all dust he created. I ended up having to hire another contractor and the job cost me twice as much as I originally budgeted since he had gotten a substantial portion of the money up front.
I also ended up having to hire a company to clean the air ducts in my home. I tried to review this company on Angie's list, but at the time, it was not listed. I also notice now that there is another negative review of his company on Merchant Circle.
All I wanted from him was an apology and a commitment to fix my concerns. Instead he acted like it was my fault and my problem.
I want no further contact or hassles from him and fear that he may try to retaliate for this honest review.
