We needed our roof done after a hurricane. Our quote was built through our insurance company. They poorly communicated what was going to be done and damaged an existing part of our skylight. Very unprofessional in the way they handled everything
Response from Summit Exteriors

"Customer reported a problem with a skylight that was re-installed against our recommendation. Additionally, customer did not pay the initial invoice in full for which they received insurance proceeds. We offered to install a new skylight at cost. Unfortunately, they have submitted multiple negative reviews on social media rather than working towards a solution."

Great. They showed up on time. Did the roof and cleaned up after. The roof is great. Would use again (in 20+ years when I will need a new roof).

We ended up decided on a commercial product that would give us a warranty like a pitched roof. They managed the process well and kept us updated along the way.

I do not recommend them. There was a lot of work they did poorly. They failed to order the custom windows that were supposed to go in the house. They just went to the local hardware store and bought stock windows. They didn't install window trim inside. They destroyed the sheetrock around the windows, so I have to redo it myself. I was not satisfied or pleased with their work. They put a new door to our back laundry room and they never painted it. They did a decent job on the roof. But, they didn't get everything completely level on the roof; it's wavy around the trim. They were supposed to replace the joists, but they didn't do it properly. They just put a new board on top of the old ones, instead of replacing them fully. I'm disabled, so it is difficult for me to do these tasks. They didn't refund us for the custom windows we paid for; instead they said they would make us a deal and not charge us to install the back door. Lots of little things were done incorrectly. The worker were pleasant, but the owners cut corners. They were trying to work fast. They only painted about half of my concrete block for my porch and didn't paint the joists or the wood at all. They didn't paint any of the concrete block on the back. They didn't install a dryer vent for the laundry room. From a distance, it looks fine. When you get up close, you notice all the mistakes. Water leaks into the back door when it rains. On the drip edge, they didn't get it level on the east end. Where the power lines connect to my A/C unit, they left a large hole in the attic, so now birds can get in. They had to move my power box, and they did not put the wiring back in the right place. They did a really sloppy job. They seemed pretty decent, but they were just fast talkers. I spent every dollar I had to get this done; I expected a better job.

Called summit construction and left a message inquiring about having an estimate done. Call was returned the next day by 'j'. We scheduled a time for him to come out a few days later. J was late but he did call. Sent an estimate the next day. Exactly one week later I notified J that we would like to proceed with summit construction company. That's where everything fell apart. If you were too busy you should have notified me instead of dragging your feet for over month knowing I had a surgery deadline. J was supposed to get back with me to set up a time to come out and get exact measurements for everything. A week of never hearing from j I call summit and was told j had some family issues. I did recieve a call a few days later from j explaining his situation, stuff happens, we understood. J came out a week later on a Sunday and measured everything. I explained to j that I would be having knee surgery at the end of the month and needed to get this going...We discussed options and we sent an email with some ideas of what we were looking at for materials. Well nearly a week and a half later I called j leaving a voice mail asking what was going on and if he still wanted the job. He called back saying he never received the email and would call me back the next day.... I waited by the phone hoping that he would come thru and do as he said, but he never called. I waited two days to call j. He didn't answer so I didn't bother leaving a message and never got a call back. Would not recommend...

Jason Brown came to my office to provide an estimate for 2 office condominium units being purchased. He said he provide a written estimate within the next three days. I never heard from him again.
Response from Summit Exteriors

"We are sorry for the poor follow-up on your project. At that time we were not able to accept any more projects. We should have let you known of our scheduling issues."

Brian came out to look at the repairs that I wanted to get me an estimate.  His price was very fair.  He sent the estimate in an email, which works.  Personally I prefer to have a more detailed scope on the company letterhead.  Other than that he was very nice and professional and would consider estimates from him for other repairs.

Excellent from start to finish.  Quotes were in-line or better than market, crews showed up on time and were very professional.  Construction was prompt and the staff were knowledgeable of roofing products and answered all questions ahead of time.  New roof looks great (architectural shingles) on our 63 year old home.
Summit also installed custom roofing features; we had many odd roof-line geometries that they repaired.  They recommended an overhang drip edge to protect our fascia, which we accepted for minimal cost.  Glad we did, all rain leaves the roof without touching our home.
Great company to work with.

The renovation went really well. We had a lot of work done in about four months time. We are able to move in after four months and it felt like a new home. The contractor gave us a lot of great ideas about design in the house, that we now enjoy, in addition to ways to save money.

Summit handled everything. They took our initial ideas and made them better. They came up with the most cost effective way to make our bathroom and exam rooms ADA compliant. They started the project on time and more importantly finished the project on time.
