The owner is mentally unstable and accuses people of being pedos and threatens them! Avoid!

Not reliable. I have 2 schedules but they never showed up.

On 7/7/17 Matthew & crew came to our property to 1) remove some very difficult rooted plants & trees in 2 areas; 2) clean up an overgrown landscaped area in front of our home; 3) dig out extended area where one of the rooted plants/trees were as we are making an extra parking space; 4) trimmed approximately 4 Palmetto Palms heavily overgrown and 5) cut down a nuisance tree that was growing into power lines & rubbing up against shed area. Matthew was timely to the appoint for estimate & called if he was going to be late. He provided a detailed estimate for each piece of work clearly outlining prices. Matthew was very diligent in pointing out what all the plants/trees were (he knew his stuff!), recommending what to keep, trim or remove. We went with ALL his recommendations and were extremely happy & satisfied with the overall results. They hauled away the extra dirt, debris etc and left the area immaculate. We were so impressed with work they did we called him back for a second job on 7/15/17. This time we had him clean up our back yard. We walked through the area and discussed several details as to what we wanted in, out, cut back etc. He got it all right AGAIN and exceeded all expectations by digging out inches of leaves, laying down weed mesh manicured nicely around plants, and put down mulch. The elements this crew worked through both times, extreme heat, horrible humidity, on & off rain was amazing. They never sacrificed the quality of their work to hurry and get the job done! As far as the price for the work completed, Matthew was extremely fair and we opted to tip the crew for their excellent work! It's hard to find good quality work at a decent price but we did with Southern Turf Kings. I'm not one to write a lot of reviews and certainly not long ones, but I felt the work of Matthew and his crew was clearly noteworthy. Matthew of Southern Turf Kings is our go to person/company for our yard clean up/landscaping needs!!

N/A unable to schedule

Good luck with these people. I can't really review their actual work because they've never scheduled my already paid for service. They are very quick to take your money though. I've called them, left a call back request and sent emails. The only response I've received was an automatic response. This was my first and only experience with Angie's List. Now I have to try to get a refund.

No show / no response to phone calls.

They did come and they said that they would come regularly. We set a date for them to come. They did not show up. I called and they didn't come out. That was supposed to work into a long-term arrangement and they never showed up again. They were supposed to come on a certain day, after I had come back from a trip. They didn't come that day. So, I called. I guess, they misunderstood that they were supposed to come that day. When I called up, they said they didn't know they were supposed to come that day. But, they were not able to come again any time soon. So, I was not pleased. I hired somebody else eventually. They did an okay job. But, they didn't follow up as promised. They didn't completely cleanup afterwards. But they did a fairly good job. They came out, originally, when they said they would. So, that was okay. It's just that they didn't come back.

Things were not good. He had on his advertisement that he would take away debris and he did not. He still has it on his advertisement and he said he would remove it. He said he was going to come by and trim some hedges. My advice to anyone who asks him to do anything is to make sure that you are there, don’t just trust that he will do it right. He did not do a good job in my yard.

I am extremely happy with the work that was done and Matthew's suggestions for my yard. Excellent service.  We had to postpone the work a couple of times because of flooding.  Matthew kept in touch through the site email and phone. He was very responsive, punctual and professional.  I will definitely be in touch with Matthew when I have more work.

They were very professional and thorough.  The took care of everything that was asked, and we did a walk through at the end.  We had some scheduling snafus and it took them a bit longer than expected to come out and finish everything.  That is why they get a B instead of an A.  But overall very satisfied.

Mathew provided timely and quality work.

They took their time adjusting the sprinklers, they even discovered a leak on some of my sprinklers, came back later and fixed all the leakages, then set the timer

When I inquired about the damage he said that he knew someone that can fix the gate and that he will get it repaired. He never did anything about the damage he caused and did not show up for his bi weekly visits. 

Matthew shows up as expected each week and is professional and respectful.

Matthew and his team did a great job on my yard in record time. They were very polite and professional. Highly recommend Matthew Kings Lawn & Landscaping service.

He has been doing a good job with the lawn, and the prices for his services are very reasonable.

Matthew works really hard, has a great attitude & is ready to tackle any job needed. He works for me weekly, for about 3 months now. He also does landscaping which I'll be using him for this in the near future. I would never consider using anyone else for my yard.
