SHAPELLS INC

I was at first hesitant to use Shapell's due to the bad reviews I've seen, but due to my narrow driveway their 11 yard dumpster was the only one that would fit. My interactions with the company were nothing but positive. They responded quickly and professionally to my call. I ordered my dumpster they said it would likely be five to seven days before it was delivered--they called me in three days with one available. Their price was by far cheaper than any other company I called (five other companies). When I was finished with the dumpster I called and they arrived the next day to pick up the dumpster. Two or three weeks after the pick up I received a tonnage refund check from Shapell's (they make you pay up front tonnage fee that will likely be larger than you'll use).

We used Shapells while remodeling our house. They delivered in a reasonable time frame, nut the problems started with when we requested pick-up. They kept saying they had some on the way each time we called. No one ever showed. I finally called and told them to get the roll-off out of my drive way before I have to call someone else to pick it up. It was at our home in the drive for 8 days after they originally stated they would pick it up. A few weeks later we received our deposit check for the difference . As I stated earlier, we were in the middle of a remodel. The check was tossed in with a bunch of other paperwork to be sorted out later. We cashed the check a few weeks ago, only for it to bounce and receive a bounce check fee from our bank. After calling and speaking with Shapells twice last week and one this morning, they have stated "it's not our fault you took so long to cash the check. We changed accounts." They stated they would reissue the check the fee was my fault. Seriously. This last call was the worst, same conversation, only this time they asked for my name and I give it to them, at which point she told me that they would be reissuing the check without the bounced check fee and there is nothing I can do about it now and hung up on me. This is a shady business, stay clear. There are plenty of other roll-off companies in Jacksonville to go with.

This dumpster company was used by Brinks Roofing.  The dumpster company put

the dumpster on my driveway.  After the dumpster was removed, I noticed a rust stain

and a huge crack that was caused by the dumpster.  I called Tammy and she said she will

not fix the damages that was caused by her dumpster.  As a former Mayoral candidate,

I believe in accountability.  This company does not believe in accountability.

Please DO NOT use this company.  They are a disgrace to the city of Jacksonville

and should be put out of business.  I have filed a complaint with the BBB and looking

into filing a lawsuit against this company.

Shapell's was on time for delivery as well as pick up. The girls in the office were very helpful. If you have a question, they are more than willing to answer. Will absolutely use this company again.

Shapells was prompt to deliver and pickup dumpster at a fair price.

They were prompt, courteous, and efficient.

Shapell Inc. has excellent drivers that can put the dumpster in the best spot without damaging anything. You get them for a week and are excellent for demolition projects. We prepaid and they actually reimbursed us money after they picked-up.
