Contractor subcontracted work out without our knowledge (to Skilled Construction Solutions), after specifically assuring us the workers would all be his employees. He then proceeded to leave the country for a month, so left the job completely unsupervised. The workers ran out of drywall mud and screws, which we ended up buying for them. Additionally, they punctured a water pipe with a drywall screw which flooded our new floors. The drywall job itself was horrible, with seams showing everywhere, and some places inadequately mudded to the point where the drywall screws were showing. It cost us $2352.82 to repair the water damage and another $3950 to do the drywall repairs and touch up the paint. Contractor told us we had a 1 year warranty and came over with his subcontractor and reviewed the work and told us he would come the following Monday to repair, if only we would pay him additional money. I told him we would agree to do that after the repair work was done. They no-showed and refused to return phone calls after that. We were forced to get different contractors to make the repairs at our expense. Please steer clear of both of these companies. The quality is exceptionally poor and they are dishonest.
