This was my second time using Rolland Reash. I was very pleased with the first service visit - pricing (time and materials just as noted on their chat site), service, and professionalism of the technician. My washing machine outlet box failed when we installed a new washer dryer, so I called Rolland Reash out to replace it, having that previous positive experience. The techs were timely, thorough, and completed the work appropriately, in less than an hour. My concern is with the pricing and office followup. I assumed time and materials when booking this visit and was not given a price at that time. My error for making the assumption, clearly. My expectation was $250-$300 would cover this work. When they arrived, as they were about to start the work, they gave me a price of $625. Again this is for what proved to be less than an hour of work. The part used prices retail at about $75. I sent a message a few days later expressing my concern. Today I received a call from their office telling me that their office person "always quote the price" of this type of job, essentially telling me that I was mistaken or was lying when I told them I was not quoted for this job prior to the technician on site giving me the price. No apology, no acknowledgment of even the possibility they could be wrong. I WILL NOT use this company again.

Guys showed up on time. Figured out the problem and fixed it quickly. They did a good job and pricing was reasonable for what was done. I used these guys a few years ago for a repiping job at another house I used to own and used them again because they did such a good job a few years back.

Shocked that we were charged $105 for not even 10 minutes. We used Rolland for a prior repair and were very pleased, however based on this recent experience we will not use them again. There are many other qualified plumbers in our area that would not have charged this price for a service call under 10 minutes. With Rolland it seems to depend on who comes out to provide service.

The cut off valve broke off while I was installing a faucet. Water everywhere!!! Called and the nice man redirected a crew right to my house. The fixed the valve and installed 2 faucets. Quickly, professional guys.
The man I scheduled with also informed me of a $50 coupon to use, he sure didn't have to do that. Great service. Will use them again!
Also offered way better timing and much cheaper service than a competitor. DGP

I had turned the water off to the sprinkler system during the winter to prevent the pipe from freezing. Recently, I was unable to turn the water on with ordinary pliers because it is badly rusted. I was afraid to use a hammer for fear that it would break. I asked the plumber to replace the valve when I called, but he only turned the valve on. I was not at the house at the time of the appointment or I would have insisted that the valve be replaced since it has rusted badly. I am glad to be able to use the sprinkler system again, but I know the valve will have to be replaced soon.

Install took as long as expected. One of the water shutoffs had a leak and they were out first thing the next morning to fix it.

After living in this 50 year old house for just over a year, the kitchen drain refused to flow at all. It had always run slow. My son and I fought that problem with my snake all one Saturday and we not only made no progress, we took a step backward by causing a leak in the aged drain metal piping under the sink.
Finally after giving up, I called Rolland Pease Plumbing of Jacksonville FL. after seeing their ad in our local Mint magazine. They would have come that evening if I had requested them to do so. I opted to wait until the following day, a Sunday. The repair person arrived at the appointed time and worked very efficiently until the job was completed. Even to the point of going to the store to obtain a needed part.
He finished the job of clearing the drain, removing the damaged section of pipe in only one and one half hours. He told me about a coupon on their website for $50 which brought the cost down to only $103. On a Sunday. Overall the experience with this company from the initial telephone call to the finishing of the work was a pleasant experience. Rolland Reash Plumbing is highly recommended.

On the drain locate. They showed up with a small gas powered pump to feed a long water jet hose. We had asked for an estimate for this additional job during a repipe job they did for us earlier, At that time they gave us a $120. estimate. When we called in January they said and quot;times have changedand quot; and the drain locate service call would now be $160. We went ahead and set an appointment and then in the mean time saw on their website they had a $50. coupon that could be used for any service call. When they showed up for the job the water jet wasn't very effective but they finally found one part of the drain pipe using a pinger they had on a much shorter line. When I asked what the total due was the man doing the work wouldn't say - I presented the coupon anyway and said I thought based on the time spent it would then be $110. A week later when they mailed the bill it showed a full $160. Plus they also had billed us for an additional amount of time on site even after I'd made it very clear with the on-site worker the start and stop times as they actually occurred. I called immediately and disputed the extra time, they relented, but they told me the coupon didn't apply as I'd been given an hourly estimate over the phone. I think that is a type of bait and switch tactic, because the website nor coupon never mentioned any such limitations.
We had had pricing issues on the earlier mayor re-piping job too. Therefor I'd caution other Angie list users about using this company under it's current management.

Rolland plumbing sent 2 different people out to do 15 minutes of work, and the job was still not fixed. Price was not clear. Tried to over price.
