Our local moving service includes a fully equipped 24 ft. moving truck and two professional movers. The first 2 hours are flat rated at $175.00. Each additional hour is only $65.00 per hour, with a one time $25.00 diesel fuel surcharge. You may request more movers for an additional charge. The movers were pleasant.. Even though we talked about it before they started, as can happen with wood floors, my floors were scratched in the process. The movers acknowledged the scratches and I wrote on the work order before signing and paying. I had them call their supervisor for instructions and he told me to pay and file a claim. I did that immediately and 4 and a half months later have heard nothing. I have called several times and get no call back or someone says it's "up to the insurance company". My local hospital that I owe money to would be interested for me to tell them "it's up to the insurance company". This company should have made this right a long time ago- insurance or no- we're not talking about a lot of money. I think it's a shame they don't back up their employees.
My mistake was paying them before getting an estimate & deducting it from the price of the move.
BEWARE! This same company also operates as All My Sons Moving & Storage. These people are masters of ducking & moving. The person you need to speak to is never "in". I filed a lawsuit against them, received a judgement against them & still they refuse to make it right. So, check Angies for more reviews, check both these companies in Jacksonville business reviews, & check with the BBB. If you do, you won't make the mistake I did.
