She has a 4 year Degree in Interior Design from JMU in VA and has worked in the Interior Design field since 1984. Her vast knowledge covers just about everything in the design world. Thoroughly pleased with the ideas and suggestions Barbara gave me! We first sat down and discussed some of the areas I wanted to update. She then walked with me around each room in the house, asking questions, and making suggestions as we went. We discussed options. I took notes as we spoke. She gave me some professionals names I could choose from for some of the work, and an option was to let her head up all the work, calling her or going by to see her to pick out choices. We ended up having to wait to start our projects, but will be contacting Barbara when we get our priorities in line.

Barb is wonderful to work with. This is the third time I have hired her to help update my home. The first time she utilized my own items and totally rearranged the house. It was lovely. I felt like i had come home for a reveal on an HGTV show. She picked new paint colors to go with my existing furniture and it was beautiful. The next time she helped pick cabinet, counter, and paint colors and furniture/accessories for my study. She was a great mediator between my husband and I. We were both happy with the results. She helped picked out tile, counters, and materials for the master bath. Again, we are happy with the results. I just need her to come back and help arrange artwork and accessories. She is super responsive and a joy to work with!

Excellent. I provided photos in advance and Barbara narrowed down what I wanted as end result based on use of the room and we moved furniture, rug, lamps & artwork accordingly. Made the room more spacious & manageable. Like a breath of fresh air to an older, outgrown room. A new life. She also advised on additional items I could address in future to help (remove existing heavier window treatments & leave open or simpler, lighter panels) and rehung a favorite, large, framed photograph to highlight it in new space.

Excellent suggestions from Barbara Greene. She was professional, warm, punctual and business like. She listened to me abount my plans & we walked to each room and she made observations, suggestions, asked questions and helped me to focus on what might help in the short term, rearranging or shifting some items and removal of others. Consolidating and balancing for convenience & resulting in a more peaceful aesthetics. I have used Redesign Today in the past for simple furniture rearrangement but this is anew phase of my life and totally different. Very helpful.

Barbara was punctual, cheerful, and very friendly. She answered my questions and gave me her opinions in a professional, yet complimentary and warm manner. Her pricing was very reasonable in relation to the services provided. Barbara definitely broke the stereotype of what I thought an interior decorator would be. Barbara was great! She helped with color choices of floor tile, backsplash and wall color. She made the process much less stressful. Has a very good eye for color! She also gave me several ideas for updating other rooms. It was amazing how different the rooms looked with just a few changes. Will definitely be using her again!!!

Quick, efficient use of time - Barbara made suggestions and moved lamps to maximize light and color in a dark room; slight rearrangement of furniture and rugs as well as suggestions for artwork placement. Also consulted her about window hangings in a Master Bedroom and she provided excellent advice on colors and most importantly the wideth and length to give me the simple, calm & elegant look I wanted. I have retained Barbara before and she does a beautiful job with what is already in your house! I "treated" my neighbor who wanted advice for staging her home for sale and she quickly went through and made important, easy but maybe hard to hear suggestions - mostly dealing with decluttering & simpifying, shifting artwork, etc.

.It went very well and I'm hiring Barb again for Christmas. She made the rooms pop and all of my guests commented on it. I actually had party goers stare at the trees for several minutes. She pays attention to every detail and tries to use what you have. She picks items that she knows you'll like so your time is well spent. I definitely recommend her!

The visit went very well. She was very knowledgeable about colors and very quickly selected several colors that complimented the shingle color of the roof while considering the color of the surrounding houses.. She is very friendly and very prompt.

Originally all I wanted to do was replace the carpeting with tiles and once that was done the furniture looked pretty drab against it so we went shopping for couches and coffee tables and area rugs. Once they were in the living room the existing drapes looked pretty awful so we contacted a Jacksonville provider who came down in her van to show us everything she had and the three of us decided what would look best. Once the drapes were up Barb and I decided it was time to look for granite for the kitchen counters (my dining nook and kitchen open into the living room so it was important to get the colors just right) and we visited four or five outfits in the area before choosing just the right one (Barb has the most amazing sense of what will be just right) and then once the granite was install we picked out the tiles for the back splash which of course look perfect! Whenever I was in doubt about a choice I'd ask Barb if she really thought something or other would be the right color or design and if she said she was sure we went with it. My friends and family are amazed at the transfiguration of my living room/kitchen area from something fairly ho-hum to Home and Garden quality look.
