Quality Discount Roofing installed my roof 2 month ago since then 5 leaks inside my house. They have been out several times to replace defective and damaged shingles. Every time they replace some shingles they damage other shingles. I have at least a dozen areas where nails are poking thru the shingles. Several creased and torn shingles. They also charged an additional $450 for 100' of 1x4's they said they replaced. After looking in attic it was less than 50'. They canceled the final inspection on the permit. So now I have an open permit which will expire in 2 months so i can't do any other work on my house. Read the other complaints and learn from out lesson. STAY AWAY at all costs.

Came to estimate repair and found it. Fixed at that time. Very knowledgeable and professional. I could not be more pleased.

We recently had to replace our roof after 18 years due to wear/tear and wind damage. There were several things in selecting a qualified roofer that were important to us. Reputation of the company, pricing, roofing product choices and availability. After doing our research and meeting with several companies, Quality Discount Roofing met all of our requirements and then some. Their workers were punctual, very hard working, in extreme temperatures that averaged 95 degrees, and skillful in their work. After the job was completed, the clean-up was more thorough than I had expected. In addition, they sent a company supervisor out to do a final review of the re-roofing job prior to the City of Jacksonville's final inspection. The bottom line is that they delivered what they promised…. a quality job, at a reasonable price, in a timely manner. We couldn’t be happier.

My experience with Quality Discount Roofing was beyond what I expected and the price was very reasonable. Starting with the Salesperson, he laid out everything in detail and provided plenty of material to review. I was able to obtain a schedule date which was within a short period of time. The delivery dates for the shingles and dumpster were right on time as promised. It only took one day to re-roof my house which I expected would be at least 2 days. The workers arrived early and got right to work. and took a very short lunch break. They cleaned up everything around the house before they left and were very thorough. The dumpster was picked up within 48 business hours and even that company's drivers were very friendly and conscientious. The office staff was very friendly and responsive to any questions that I had. Overall it was a very efficient and well managed project.

Shingle/material delivery was arranged and on schedule with JEA to remove power lines temporarily. The workers showed up on time and were very professional. Happily, the roof was completed on the 73 year old house only a month before Hurricane Irma, so it is feasible that the work done under the more current standards was useful in averting what would have probably been complete destruction of the old roof.

After we experienced a scary experience with another roofing company, we didn’t know where to turn and feared that we wouldn’t get our roof replaced! Then we were saved by Quality Discount Roofing! The entire process was professional, on time and of top quality! Our very first meeting with Luther was professional and we had been told to expect a quote within a few days. This is where the great experience began. The quote was delivered within hours of the first appointment! The transition to dealing with their office for setting the work was excellent! We were greeted by phone calls and emails with status updates on each step of the process. The company once over delivered again by telling us it would be a few weeks until our new roof would be replaced, it was actually within a few days of signing our contract that the roofing began! When another roofing company said it would take a week to complete the work, QDR finished the work within a few short days! We are so happy and our new roof looks so good! From the moment the sales rep set foot on our property, through the crew that performed the work, to the end when payment was made, every person we came into contact with at Quality Discount Roofing were incredibly professional, polite and represented the company well. Our re-roof was completed on time, and we are incredibly happy with the outcome. I would definately recommend.

The company name is partially correct. "Discount" is accurate because they were the low bidder of four on this project. "Quality"...well not so much. The project started on 4/11/17. Within a few days the roofing crew had stripped the roof, did the required re-nailing of the sheathing, put down the underlayment and installed new 3 tab shingles and requested a final inspection from the City inspector. The job failed the City inspection on 4/14/17 because the roofers left exposed nail heads. The roofers came back to fix the problem and then another inspection was requested. The job failed a SECOND time on 5/03/17 because there were still exposed nail heads. The roofers came back again to fix the problem. A THIRD inspection was done on 5/31/17 and the City inspector again FAILED the job because there were still exposed nail heads. Again back came the crew to fix the problem. On 6/09/17 a FOURTH inspection was done and the job was passed by the City inspector. It took 60 calendar days from the job start to final approval by the City inspector. When you spend the amount of money required to get a re-roof done you expect to see a competent crew show up to do a professional job in a timely manner. That was clearly not the case here. As per the City Inspector every exposed nail had to be removed, properly placed and the hole left by the removed nail sealed. Consequently there are a number of very evident places where black roofing tar appears to have been used for this process, not something you expect to see on a new roof. On Friday evening 6/16/17 Jimmy Soderlund, the "trustee" of Quality Discount Roofing came by to pick up the payment and deliver warranty papers for the job. When asked if he had an explanation as to why a simple re-roofing job took over 8 weeks and three follow up visits by the roofing crew for the job to pass final inspection he was at a loss. He indicated when he got to his office on Monday he would check into the situation. As of this date 7/03/17 we have heard nothing further from Mr. Soderlund. Reroof BUT HAD SOME ISSUES THAT THEY CAME BACK AND FIXED

Everyone was very professional and friendly. the work was completed as they explained and in a timely manner. Hopefully we won't need a new roof in our lifetime, but we would use them again and will recommend them to others.

You hear nightmare stories about roofing projects but mine went perfectly with these folks at Quality Discount Roofing. It started with a phone call for a quote then Luther came to my home to assess the work required and gather enough information for the quote. He followed up promptly with a formal written quote which was both thorough and fair. You'll like Luther, no high pressure sales tactics, well spoken and knowledgeable. They were very clear in what I needed to do prior to the install date and communicated in advance as that date approached. I had some specific requirements on the dumpster and material location which arrived on time and as promised. The project supervisor was Chris who was present when needed and attentive. The guys who did the work were hard workers, Early to rise and stayed until dark two days in a row and left the place clean. I have a lot of respect for their work ethic and how they do it every day I do not know. I was very pleased with my experience with this company.

The sales representative was very knowledgeable about working with an insurance claim. His knowledge of his company 's products was extensive and comprehensive. The roofing materials were put on the roof the day before work was to begin. (They actually were able to begin the roof at an earlier date than originally projected.) Workers began early in the morning, and finished a large roof in 2 days. Tarps were used to protect the lanai, bushes, etc. Cleanup was thorough. The day after the roof was completed, someone from the company went around the exterior with a magnet, to make sure that nails were not left behind. Friends and neighbors love the look of the new roof. I could not be more satisfied.

I'm picky and give them a 10 out of 10. Showed up on time, great work, left the property clean. Very pleased.

They came out before I had the air conditioning changed out and I had to wait a really, really long time for them because of the hurricane.  They were really busy.  Them, I had some issues with.  I mean, the roof is on and it passed inspection so it can't be all that bad, but I wouldn't give them an A rating.   I had to replace the roof because I had a lot of wind damage from Hurricane Matthew.  The office staff was good; the ones that I had an issue with were the team that actually came out and the project supervisor.  Those were the main issues that I had.  They didn't show up on time, and when they showed up they would wait like a half an hour before they started working.  The materials - they delivered them the day before they were supposed to start on the project, and when they arrived to do the project they didn't check all the materials to make sure that they had everything.  And also, they started a day later than what they were supposed to.  They were supposed to start the project on Thursday, but they didn't until Friday; they didn't start until Friday.  So when they came - you know, usually when you start a project you check all your materials to make sure you have everything so that if you don't, you can start on the project but make sure that the project supervisor is aware so that he can come and bring you whatever else you need so you can finish the project in a timely manner.  Well, they didn't do that.  There was very poor communication because they don't speak English.  I do speak fluent Spanish.  The whole team only spoke Spanish; they speak very little English. They came, they did the job, and they would take their breaks.  Like I have some fruit trees in the back - they didn't even ask for permission - I know that they ate the fruit because I saw the outer part of the fruit on my lawn.  They were supposed to clean up after the project and they didn't.  They used an air blower to blow the stuff, but they blew all of the dirt and stuff underneath the dumpster.  They put this dumpster in front of the house in my driveway to collect all of the materials and everything, and they blew it under.  They were supposed to clean off all the driveway and check to make sure they got all the nails, and they didn't.  I was the one who had to end up cleaning the driveway.  They took off the satellite dish that was on my roof, which I wanted them to remove, and I wanted them to dispose of it because I don't have satellite service any more.  So I wanted it removed and discarded because the original satellite company said oh, well we'll just leave it on your roof for the future in case you change your mind, so they never came to remove it.  And so when I changed the roof, I asked them can you please remove it and dispose of it, and they said yes.  And they didn't; they just left it hanging with the wires and everything, they left it hanging off there on the side and I had to call them back.   Luckily the guy who did the contract with me - he came and he removed it.  The guys from the office - the people from the office - were really nice.  The guy who negotiated the contract with me was really nice, very thorough and everything.  The problem that I had was with the team doing the job.  They had put some things up there; they had to come back and change it.  Very poor communication.  And this is the other thing - they told me that the project would take only one day - it turned out to be like three days because they came Friday instead of Thursday and they started late, and so then they came on Saturday.  Well, they came at 8:30 and they started like an hour later, like at 9:30.  I mean they started like really late.  They worked until like 1:00 or 1:30-ish, something like that; and then they took their half an hour or an hour lunch, and then they picked up everything and then they left.  If you're gonna have lunch, then get your stuff and get off my property, you know?  No, but they were just hanging around on my lawn, leaning on the fence that I had just repaired from the hurricane, which totally teed me off.  And then they left without finishing the job.  They didn't even cover the roof; there was nobody at the office to respond.  I tried taking the project supervisor's ... I never met the project supervisor.  He never showed up on the job, he never bothered to explain anything that was going on or anything.  That Monday they came super late, they waited around for like - I don't know, for like several hours - then some more materials came that Monday because apparently they ran out of materials on Saturday so they had to come again on Monday.  And then they finished the roof on Monday.  I mean, it was just one thing after another, after another.  Yeah, and you know I went with them because ... I found several companies on Angie's List and then I interviewed them and I asked for estimates.  The first company never returned my call; the second company came, they said they would e-mail me an estimate and I never got the e-mail and this was the only guy who responded.  I had damage, my roof was leaking and stuff; I needed to replace the roof.  So I just went with them because it was pretty reasonable.  I mean the insurance paid for it, so it wasn't gonna be that much money I was gonna be spending out-of-pocket for the deductible, because they basically paid for everything.  In fact, I had written everything down because when I had the chance I was gonna put in a written review on Angie's List.  Because he had already - he had gone, once I said that I wanted to accept his offer, before he had come - I think he had pulled the plans from the house from the City, like at office at City Hall where you can pull so you can get an idea of how many square feet you're gonna need or materials or whatever, what kind of a roof it is - and it was only a question of deciding what kind of material.  Well, I wasn't gonna get the more expensive one; I don't see the point because in a hurricane that's going to go just as well as a regular, normal roof.  So I went with the cheaper one, which is the one that it had before because that material had lasted for almost twenty years; and I had to do some repairs through the years, but nothing major - exactly.  Also I could see by the way that they were working, I wasn't too impressed with the workmanship and stuff.  But it's on the roof and it looks good.  The other thing that I need to say about complimenting the front office - we had like a really strong thunderstorm several weeks after the roof was put on, and I found a shingle on my front lawn.  Then I called them and they were very responsive, they sent some guy, they had just hired a new guy.  He came and he got on the roof and he inspected it to make sure everything was okay.  So he said no, no - everything is good, it's intact - this must have blown off from another roof because even though it looks like the same color, but it's not.  You have ... all your shingles are intact and everything, so I said oh okay, that's good.  Their office is responsive.  The issue that I had was with the actual team itself and the team supervisor.  For the price I'd say it's pretty competitive.  I thought it was a really good price; that's why I agreed to sign the contract with them. I guess I'd say on the price I'd give them an A.  For quality, I want to put a C but I'm being generous.  It's more because of the workmanship rather than the materials itself because the materials are what they are; it's just the team.  I'm just so disappointed with them; the work ethic, or should I say lack thereof, and the un-professionalism, especially with the supervisor.  They should've done a thorough cleaning; I mean, they left their buckets full of nails and everything there, in the front yard.  If they had left it in the back yard it would've be

Excellent The workmanship appears to be good. It looks good. There were a few minor clean up items. i am very satisfied with the work. I recently had a roof replacement by another roofing contractor and Quality Roofing by far did a much better over job that the other contractor. The also have a great warranty. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs a roof replacement

Once the work commenced, everyone did his job. The plants near the house were covered with tarps. My entire roof was completed in a day. They cleaned my yard of all the trash. After the city inspected the roof, they called to set a convenient time when we could meet for the payment. I am very pleased with their service.

My roof looks really good a couple of little problemsomething but came back quickly and fix them. With this roofing company the customer is truly the #1 cocern.

Once the project began, it went well. I had a difficult time reaching the man who gave us the roofing estimate. He came and looked at our roof and then it took a week or two to get him to call me back. Once the roof began it went quickly. The quality appears to be great. The workers that worked on the roof worked continuously the entire day and were professional. They did a thorough clean up job once they were finished.

It went fairly smoothly.  There were a few hiccups, but they were quick to fix the problem. 
Great attention was given to details that went above and beyond the responsibility of the company.
Because this individual went the extra mile, it made the process less stressful for me and 
that in and of itself, was worth choosing this company. I like the finished product greatly.

I would highly recommend Quality Discount Roofing. The price was right. The service was fantastic. My husband said that he has never seen roofers clean up after themselves like they did. We were under the gun because our home owner's insurance company was demanding a new roof or they would cancel the policy. Quality Discount Roofing jumped into action to get the job done and made sure that were totally satisfied before asking for payment. They were awesome!! And we have a beautiful new roof with a guarantee.
