I asked for any additional advice he might give me on the use of my alarm. He advised that I should use it on instant mode at night and during the day should I be home and not stepping in and out of the house. He related a close call with a customer who would have been better off with instant on than with delayed mode as she had left it. Daytime intruder kicked down front door during the day when she would not normally be home. No alarm sounded immediately on 90 second delay mode. He opened her bedroom door which woke her up from her bed. Then the delay kicked in and sounded the alarm. He ran away at the sound of the alarm and customer was okay. But instant on while she was home during the day would have been smart. As soon as intruder kicked the door open, alarm would have sounded. Good advice from the tech.
Tech removed all tools. Explained no charge for service. Shook my hand and went on his way.
