It took 3 months for them to complete the bathroom. Every oversite of Jacks was blamed on me. The owner presents like a 4 star stage performance but he takes zero responsibility for the work being done. He flat out lied to me about what would happen, how long it would take etc. For a cabnitry company to take over a month to install your cabnit completely is crazy. They left the middle draw out for about two months. They ordered the wrong color tile for a nitche and never took responsibility for it. They didn't order enough tile and blamed their error or me and said it was a change of order and wanted 200 more dollars to complete the job. I ordered a door for my bathroom , I went to home depot and got the handle and they refused to install it. They were to have my bathroom walls ready to paint. So they hired someone to patch the holes but he never smoothed out the walls for painting. I wouldn't touch this company with a badger pole. It's Dec 4, we started Sept 2. I'm waiting on my refund.

They do not stand behind their work. Had an under mount sink installed in the kitchen. Thirteen months later one side of the sink dropped and the entire sink moves around. Discovered that sink was not installed properly. It had only been clipped to the counter on one side and then caulked. Of course the caulk eventually gave way. I sent pictures to a granite installation company and they verified it was done incorrectly. After multiple phone calls to Prolific, I was told ‘it was a warranty issue. Since it lasted a year, it ‘broke’. They refused to acknowledge it was done incorrectly or that the project manager should have caught the error.

“After spending over 100 thousand dollars with Prolific on cabinets, flooring and granite for the building of our dream home. I would would NOT do it again. Simply put, this company doesn’t accept responsibility and doesn’t have any accountability for their own employees or sub contractors’ mistakes or actions. There is zero quality control, unless managed completely by you, the home owner, and stay on top of the work daily. Due to a scheduling error by Prolific, our very expensive cabinetry was delivered weeks early and sat in a hot and humid environment which is horrible for them. Also, the home wasn’t even locked at this point, forcing me the owner to go out and buy temporary locks to protect my investment, something that I firmly believe they should have been accountable for. The cabinet installer then quit near the end of the install never to be seen again and all I heard was him complaining the whole time about Prolific’s lack of communication and poor scheduling. Midway through the project, the tile crew Prolific chose was excused and replaced due to shoddy and unacceptable work. The next tile crew damaged our very expensive countertops by leaving their tools and tiles on them, causing permanent scuffs and deep, visible lines in the brand new granite. At first Prolific said they would get it taken care of. Then after many months of having to pursue them, we were told an appointment was scheduled for the granite to be fixed. That date came and went and nobody ever showed up. Now, despite initially admitting to fault Prolific won’t even acknowledge my messages and has forgotten to follow through on their commitment to make it right. They flat out lied. No appointment was ever made with the granite repair company because they had no intention on manning up! They will be the first to show up and take your check, but in the end, they will leave you hanging with feelings of regret that you gave them your hard earned money. Their inability to communicate to my builder and their tile and granite crews almost delayed certificate of occupancy on our home. Thankfully our builder was able to use his connections to make things happen when Prolific couldn’t finish the job. The only positive thing I can say is that when it came to design they were patient, professional and knowledgeable. The execution however was just a disjointed nightmare. There are many other reasons why we wish we could go back in time and hire another company, but this is long enough. In conclusion, if you would like a teammate that will run the ball 99 yards and then just quit and walk away with zero conscience, Prolific is the business for you. Seriously, think about this. To fix my granite, it would cost a few hundred bucks. Instead, they chose to give me no other choice but to share my dissatisfaction with the world? Makes zero business sense. I should have listened to all the other similarly worded reviews before hiring them. My bad. Hopefully you will learn from my mistake.”

Everything was smooth. Jack came to home to measure and get ideas. We met at his showroom and picked out countertops, tile, and worked with Jack to design a signature “feature” in backsplash over new cooktop. Scheduling was quick and convenient. Bryan followed up before and after each subcontractor. We were always informed. Subs did a good job. We made a couple of small changes ($150 each), which were handled easily. I have to specially call out the trim carpenter, who was very meticulous. His work was impeccable. Overall we had a very good experience. I have already recommended Prolific Cabinetry to a neighbor.

The cabinets were not even close to the right color and the owner wouldn't even come look at them. The only way he eventually did was to get a portion of his money. He's a jerk, was rude, and insulting to me and his installer. I have so far absorbed almost $1500 just to correct this. Would never ever deal with this company again.

Jack Brust speaks in absolutes, quite the salesman HOWEVER, the cabinet refinishing after 30 days of "re-do's and "touch-ups", looked worse than week one. No doubt Mr Brust would say that we did not allow him to complete the work however after 40 days on a project that was contracted to be completed in one week, it became apparent that Cabinetry refinishing is beyond this company's area of expertise. Our cabinet boxes were damaged, door and drawer fronts not salvageable. Paint peeling as result of poor prep, grit in paint and uneven color. Damage to hardwood flooring, overspray on adjacent walls. Need I say more?

Cabinets are good-mediocre quality. Problems with quality most likely associated with mass production. One of the cabinet doors came from manufacturer with a noticeable "nick" in front panel. Installer called provider, and replacement door was shipped within a couple of days. Appreciate provider's response to customer concerns. Installer also was caring and responsive to customer's concerns. Particularly like the creativity installer used to make a cover for dead space of cabinet to make it appear as part of cabinet to give the appearance of floor to ceiling (as requested by this homeowner). The comfort glide of the drawers may improve with time, but currently not so smooth. With that said, I really like the overall appearance of the cabinet, and happy with provider's care to address our concerns.

Flawlessly! Despite the builder of my house leaving a huge surprise (and not a good one), Jack and Ace handled it like the professionals they truly are. Honestly, I was ready to hang it up after speaking with 4 other contractors, but Jack was so reassuring, and his bid was a full 33% lower than the next closest bid! And the Waypoint cabinets are GORGEOUS! His team was wonderful, and the plumbers, carpenter, granite sub contractor and electricians he recommended to finish the job were also fantastic. My home is now beautiful and I am forever grateful. I told Jack to show people the disaster that was my outdated kitchen and the beautiful modern space they designed and gave me. Feel free to contact me, he has my phone and email. You won't be sorry using this company. Thank you!!!

Jack Brust and Prolific Cabinetry was found guilty of contracting without a contractors license by Jacksonville Board.  Prolific put in a window on an exterior wall and was not licensed.  All the time Mr. Brust sat in the hearing stating that they did not do the work but the Chairman of the Trades Board held up the contract with the item listed. Then he tried to deny again.  I eventually had to file suit since I had already paid in full for the 2 bathrooms and for my kitchen cabinets ( they ordered my kitchen cabinets in two different lots almost a year apart so of course the stain did not match!) I ended up having to give up even though I had evidence of all of the issues we had with the miscommunication, lies, subpar work, etc but be aware there is a lawyer in his family so ithey protracted everything until I had to settle for next to nothing in return and had to get everything completed after already paying so it was a costly project and I would not have chosen them if I had met Mr Brust before signing the contract but the sales person was very knowledgeable and personable and Better Business Bureau had them listed with an A rating....I wish I had checked Angie's list First!! Also there have been numerous other suits brought against him!

Provider lead me to believe he is a licensed contractor, which he is not.  Used below par sub-contractors.

Cabinetry was supposed to be all wood, some cabinets were all wood some were wood and particleboard. Some cabinets were ordered in the wrong size and provider refused to replace.  Wrong color hardware (handles) were ordered and provider refused to replace.  Granite countertop was unacceptable, broken and pieced together, installed uneven, and provider refused to replace.  Provided insisted on up-charging for things that should have been part of the remodeling processing, such are repairing the opening made while rerouting the water line for the refrigerator.

In the bath, the tiling the shower was horrible.  It was done twice and still not right.  Tiles were uneven and points were sticking out with sharp edges.  The plumbing the sink was put so  close to the shower that the smallest vanity would have to be situated right against to the frameless glass shower with no space.

The provider wanted to reuse the old, broken baseboards and door jamb,  I had to buy new and have the workmen install what I bought rather than use the old.

The provider wanted a "punch list" before even completing the job and when he didn't like what was on the list, because I was being "too picky", he walked off the job.  I hired an attorney, the provided met with my attorney, walked to project with the attorney, agreed to accept a "punch list:" from the attorney and when furnished with the list, never scheduled a timetable with the attorney to rectify and complete the project.

We are now in litigation.

Nice of Jack Brust clearing out the bad reviews... not sure how he did that.
Don't ever use these guys.  They are really available for you doing pre-sale but bail out on your inquiries during implementation.
I guess some pros:
- nice cabinets
- the granite company they used are really great guys
But this job was a con job with lots of cons!
- crew broke in my house to start the project (since wife and I were at work and told them we were on our way).
- the job PM not being around
- plumber was late
- foreign nationals used for tiles - not sure if they were licensed/legal
Too bad the old reviews are not listed anymore... this is a terrible vendor and I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

When we bought our house, the cabinet doors and drawer fronts were discolored and needed replacing. We also needed to put a new cabinet in an empty wall space. In March of 2012, using the brand name sticker on one door, we found that Prolific was the sole local distributor of the brand. So we went up to Jacksonville to see if they could help us. Very friendly and helpful. Jack came down to St. Augustine to do all the measurements. Seemed a little expensive, but I had no basis for comparison. Then months went by and I called a few times with little response. After I contacted the manufacturer, the materials finally arrived. That is when everything went really bad. The two fellows sent to do the installation were on leave from the Three Stooges didn't really have a handle on how to install cabinet doors and drawer fronts. They damaged one drawer front before realizing the screws they were using were too long. They informed me that the hinges I had in place wouldn't work with the doors Jack had ordered and I ended up spending another $300 for new hinges and installation of them. A few weeks later, they came back and installed the doors. Sadly, they didn't fit well and there was a significant gap between the doors due to Jack's mis-measurement. Moe and Larry told me that there was nothing to be done, "that's just the way it is." So after they left, I reinstalled all the doors, shimming the hinges to compensate for the bad measurement. And in the midst of this, we discovered that the cabinet we had ordered was a different style from the existing cabinets and would protrude from the front of the other cabinets two inches as well as being a different construction configuration. When I contacted Jack, he says it was too bad but "they don't make the cabinet like you have." (Would have been nice to have advance warning.) The installers offered to take the cabinet and reconfigure the depth to make it fit size-wise. And that was when the van broke down. Months went by, and the installers would call periodically with sad stories of the car troubles that prevented them from coming back. (Eventually they dropped off the cabinet - used it in my garage.) In the meantime I built a cabinet that had the same design as the existing cabinets. I contacted Jack to order doors for it and to replace the drawers fronts that were mis-measured or damaged. I offered to pay for the damaged drawer front and mis-measured one but he declined my offer. I also ordered several other panels (ends of the cabinets and island) so as to make it worthwhile for Jack. I specified that I would install all the items (seemed logical since I had installed all the other stuff despite the $500 charge for installation) and that I would even come up and pick up the panels. Jack insisted on delivering. Again the doors were mis-measured and had to be shimmed. (I had given Jack the measurements I needed, but he insisted that his were correct; very condescending) Foolishly, I didn't check every piece before accepting delivery. And the drawer fronts didn't match - a different configuration from the ones installed. (2 inch top rails instead of standard 1 inch) Called Jack and he said he'd take care of it. He asked me to text him photos which I did. Never heard from him again. Every time we called, a young lady would "check" and say that the pieces hadn't arrived yet and that Jack was out or busy with a client. After a few months, I contacted the manufacturer. The person I spoke to was sympathetic and checked to see why the drawer fronts hadn't arrived. He discovered that Jack had never even ordered them. After talking about my options, he referred me to another cabinet refacer (Let's Face It). The proprietor there was very helpful and piggybacked my drawer fronts on an order of his and they arrived in 10 days. So, after 16 months, my cabinets are finally finished. Whew! Throughout this ordeal, I had maintained a genial attitude to Jack and offered payment for every service. I was not a complainer nor did I express any impatience to him. None of that made any difference. If you value your sanity, avoid Prolific Cabinets at all costs!

My experience seems to be better than previous reviews, but I can totally see and believe their stories. I will start with the pros...
          1) Jack is a friendly salesman and owner. He did work with our budget and created a nice design.
          2) The quality of the cabinets is good
          3) The subcontractors Prolific used for my ceiling, floor, cabinets, tile, and granite(Planet Granite) were all professional
               and punctual
          4) Ace(Project Manager) does a great job taking the heat for Jack
          5) The guys installing the floor tile forgot to plug the refrigerator back in. This was not discovered until 14hrs later. Accidents
happen, no problem. Jack credited our acct the amount requested for the loss of the food.
cons...1) When we signed the contract, our kitchen was promised to be completed or everything but the backsplash by Christmas.
Work ended on 12/22 with no counters, sink, or backsplash. I was told the countertops would be in on 12/26. After going to
Planet Granite, I found they were not even scheduled to install the countertops until 1/4.  Prolific also failed to tell us they
were closed from 1/23-1/2. This was not a day or two delay, Prolific missed their deadline by almost three weeks.
           2) Prolific does not do any electrical or plumbing, so you will have to schedule and pay the electrician and plumber yourself.
We had to be at the house for these appts, which was an inconvenience since my wife and I both work. Prolific told me to
schedule the plumber which turned out to be before the counters were installed. This cost me $83 just to hear a plumber
tell me there is nothing he can do until the counters and sink were in. Jack's guestimates on what the plumber and electrician
would cost were of course less than what they actually did.
Overall, I am torn on whether or not to use or recommend Prolific. I am happy with the end product and the quality, but unhappy with missed timeline and the lack of communication from Prolific.

First bathroom still not complete (no transition piece from bathroom tile to wood flooring.  Knockdown ceiling is messed up.  Drywall still rough where they took out the medicine cabinet.  Vanity is not leveled ( or maybe the floor) not sure.  Never know when I will be hit in the head with a stone from the top of the shower!!!Second bathroom still not complete.  No pocket door.  Laid tile horizontally instead of vertically.  New window that was placed (they never pulled a permit) is not inset evenly and the drywall around it is messed up.  (The only good thing I can say is that the Granite installer from Planet Granite was very good at trying to get the issue with the incorrect placement of the holes for the vessels worked out with me and they would have done it correctly if Prolific had bothered to give them a copy of the plans for the size of the cabinet on the counter but again that would take communication and honesty - something Prolific especially JackBrust, Jaenell Surrency lack>)I am currently working on a complaint with the Business Regulations and City Inspectors office to investigate their business practices. Not even sure if the licensing is appropriate for the scope of work that they contracted for.Unable to get work completed at this time, overpaid and may lose about 6k with these people.  I have worked with all sorts of contractors in the past and I have never worked with someone who was so deep in DENIAL of any responsibility in my life!!!

While the design was great and majority of work was very good there were several issues we had with Prolific. We experienced a lack of responsiveness from Prolific once the project was underway when issues arose and the settlement of those issues were really disconcerting.

Overall the work was very good except for tile work in the shower and installing the wrong shower glass. The owner, Jack Brust was very good at planning and designing the remodel. He was great at helping to plan the project, select materials, extremely pleasant to work with. Very smooth. Once work started it was extremely difficult to get in contact with the owner. There were several instances where owner was called requesting he come out to inspect work being done but calls went unanswered. At one time I even showed up at his office so I could talk to him about problems. Several times he indicated he would be out the next day but never showed up, never called. The owner was not responsive to our concerns about work being done, however Prolific was very quick to request and demand scheduled payments.

Prolific uses 3rd party contractors to perform work, they do not actually perform work themselves. Contractor that performed the work was punctual and polite, cleaned up daily after work and except for some tile issues did a great job.

The issues were with tile installation in shower area as the wall tiles were not level with each other, there were irregularities with tiles adjacent to each other not lining up. Once final payment was requested the issues with the tile were addressed. Prolific had their own job foreman come out and replace some of the tiles where possible . However they could not fix all the irregularities in shower as this would have required a redo of a majority of the work in shower which the owner of Prolific would not consider.

Additionally we had requested a "treated" glass for the shower, however we found out from the glass installers (after the glass was installed) that it was not treated. Upon questioning Prolific they responded that we had told them we didn’t want the "treated" version. This was a lie, there was never a conversation with anyone regarding changing the type of shower glass, in fact it was in the contract and had been discussed several times with Mr. Brust about installing the "treated" glass. He was the one to originally propose we use it. They had screwed up on ordering the glass and then tried to cover it up by implying we had changed the order. We felt that if we had not questioned the installers it might not have even come to light.

When I requested consideration on the bill the owner became angry and insisted full bill was to be paid, threatening he "will take me to court and his attorney will have me pay full amount, and all his court costs". He did finally agree to a very modest reduction on the bill.

Pretty happy with them though my wife thought they were borderline ok. Worked within my budget to update the bathroom. Sales was great but the execution had its ups and downs. I'll break it down in phases: Sales - Jack B is a good salesman. He found a good solution that met our budget. And he's a really likable standup guy. Project management - Things seem to be lost from proposal of work to execution. For instance, we thought we were going to get a recessed holder for our shower. That didn't happen (should have listed it in the proposal). But they installed a shower hook we provided for free. Also they replaced a door we didn't asked to be replaced. And we got charged for asking them to replace the right door. Well we should have not offered to buy the door we didn't asked to replace (wife's idea). I thought they would have said it's on us. That's sort of annoying. There seemed to be a lot of "this should have happened" stuff. I know they had three or four other projects going on. But we felt the PM tried to get the installers to do the minimum and we had to go to Jack B to say hey now. That too was annoying. Tilers: These guys worked hard. They did bust a toilet in valve and created water stains on the first floor ceiling. But they took care of those issues. Though he forgot to water seal the tile on a Friday. He said he would come back the next day but we wanted the weekend free of installers. And told him we'll do it. My wife says the quality is just ok but I think it's better than what we can do. Demo crew: They did what they were supposed to do - remove vanity, toilet, tile, carpet etc. I can't really prove this but I think they broke into my place to getterdun. I knew I locked the place in the morning and when I went back to check back at lunch, the PM said the key we gave did not work. I guess whatever it takes to get the job done. Cabinet/fixture installers: I'm pretty happy with them. They installed a great cabinet (what do you expect from the company name). They got the light fixtures and toilet paper holder right. Just the towel fixtures were sort of loosely installed. Mirror and medicine cabinet installation was good. Plumber: this guy seems ok. Installed the stuff he's supposed to install. Checked on him once and saw the plumber's crack. Definitely a plumber. Cleanup: They used a drop cloth on all appropriate areas and took out all trash with them. Invoicing: Of course they are good about getting the checks. The only issue we had was they charged us 350 for a plumbing allowance that we already paid off in the beginning. The PM didn't know about the pre paid charge but pressure my preggers wife before she had to go to her DR appointment (I was out of town for business). Couldn't he verify that charge with accounting instead of I'm just a PM.... I don't know about the charges, duh. Well it's been quite an experience.

Installers did not install drywall anchors for the towel racks.  The cabinet is falling apart to shoddy installation.  These guys are terrible and Jack is a snake oil salesman.
