I fired them last week. After having provided the above  service for about a year, a significant portion of my lawn is now dead. When I first noticed the problem beginning this spring I pointed it out to the "tech". He had no idea what the problem was. I suggested maybe it was a fungus. He did not know if that was the problem but said they do not treat for fungus that time of year. I told him I wanted a manager to look at it. A couple of days letter a manager apparently looked at it and left me a note which  said he had no idea what the problem was but he put down some granular fertilizer to stimulate growth. Putting fertilizer on a fungus is the absolutely   wrong thing to do. I also have no idea what putting fertilizer on bare ground would accomplish. At this point the affected area was about a 4ft circle. I really paid little attention to the problem until last month when I noticed this large grassless area in my lawn. The 4ft circle had now grown to cover a significant portion or my lawn. The next day the "tech' came  to service my lawn. Of course it was a new guy and this was his first time coming to my house. I explained the problem to him. He was very apologetic and suggested maybe the problem was brown patch fungus. A diagnoses I agree with. He said he would treat the area for it, but it would be a  long time before the grass would fill in that large and area. I again requested a manager look at it. I again received a note saying he had no idea, but he would have the "tech' put down some more fertilizer. A few day later the "tech' came by and fertilized my lawn and left me a bill for $39. That was the last straw. I fired them the next day.

I will now have to re sod that area which will require at least a pallet of sod. My lawn was in better shape when I was taking care of it than after Perschel Brothers did the maintenance.

Overall I was satisfied with Perschell Bros.  I used them for many years.  They were very punctual but the quality of service declined in the final months.  I had a friend I've know for years in the business and decided to give him a try.

Their service was consistent and reliable. However,they have recently changed the lawn crew. Prior to the crew change, we were satisfied with the work. We are now considering switching providers for our weekly service. It has been a very different experience and they are not staying on top of everything.

Their service started out very good, but has gone downhill.

It was done before the big winds.  They cut our lawn every week.  They went through all of the trees in the yard and looked if they were doing well and if they needed to be trimmed.  They were professional, punctual, and very knowledgeable.  They have always come out on time.
