What insensitive and dishonest people and business. Do NOT allow your vet to send your deceased pet to this place, formally known as Paw Prints. (They changed the name to Pet Angels because they had so many problems like mine as Paw Prints. Apparently, this is a new owner.) Here’s what happened: When I put my cat to sleep on 7/25, I asked my vet to get a cast of his paw print and hair sample. When I received it, the hair was from a different cat. I knew this because it was the wrong color. I then looked at the paw print and it was obviously a different cat. The paw was too narrow to be my cat's. I know I can’t prove the paw print, but the hair sample is indisputable. When my vet called them about it, they blamed his office. My vet and the people who took care of him had known him his whole 15 years, and I am confident they made no mistakes in preparing him and correctly identifying him for Pet Angels (the only pet that was picked up on that day from this vet clinic). The real issue with this company is the complete denial of responsibility and total lack of empathy. While one might think, “well, it’s just a cat,” he was my cat and my grief at his loss was and is real. That they were so cavalier with this considering the business they are in is completely unacceptable. They did not even try to contact me to apologize or take responsibility for their mistake. This small token of my pet was supposed to be the last piece of him, my family member of 15 years, and they have taken that away from me. Shame on you, Pet Angels. To my friends, please share this post with others. Let’s show Pet Angels that they can’t get away with their dishonest business practices.

This company completely failed us. They never took a paw print and cremated our pet in a group and through the ashes away.

The staff at Paw Prints were phenomenal. These people are very caring and offer support above and beyond through the whole process...start to finish.  I have seen funeral directors (For people) that didn't care as much as these people. They have nice  options for urns also. They bubble wrapped the urn to protect it on the way home and had it in a nice cloth bag, as well as some other things in the bag. We had forgot our towels that we had our cat wrapped in. Paw Prints washed the towels and had them in the bag. I can not say enough good things about these people...They were awesome!

It was one of the saddest days of my life when I had to make the decision to put my baby down because he had lymphoma. I was VERY concerned about where he would be taken and only wanted a company with a local crematory. I also wanted to use a company who were animal lovers and would understand how devastated I was and Paw Prints did not let me down. They were very kind, understanding and did not have a problem answering all of my questions. It has taken me almost a month to give this review because every time I would try I would get upset again.

So if someone is reading this and has to go through the same pain and loss as I did, I want you to know that Paw Prints will take care of your pet. They did everything they told me they would do, they kept in touch with me to let me know when they picked my baby up and when they would deliver him to my vet. They sent me the sweetest poem and a lock of his hair which is priceless. Thank you so very much Paw Prints for helping me through that painful week and I will recommend you to anyone that may need your services.

The services provided could not have gone better. Our cat had passed the previous night- Thursday. We had had her for 19 years and we were heartbroken. The Orange Park pet emergency center had given us their card and had highly recommended them, so we gave them a call on the Friday and made an appointment to bring her there that afternoon (we understand that they will pick up the pets from the home or the vet if requested).
When we got there, Nate was waiting for us. He could not have been kinder or more professional. He told us a little about his own pets and losses and about their facility and procedures. He asked us detailed questions about what we wanted done with her things, like her collar and tags and her special towel - for each item he made a note whether we wanted it returned to us, cremated with her or donated to a shelter - and it was all handled as requested. He explained that the cremations are performed on the premises and the pets are not shipped out of town as is often the case. He also explained that each pet is given an ID number which is on a metal tag which accompanies the pet through the cremation and is returned with the remains.
Since it was a Friday afternoon, he advised he would call on Tuesday to let us know when we could come and get her.
He actually called early Monday afternoon to let us know she was ready . Since we were expecting Tuesday, I told him we could not come that afternoon due another appointment. That appointment was over a bit early, so I called hoping they were still open. I reached Nate on his cell. The office was already closed and he was downtown but he insisted on coming back to the office and meeting us there after hours so we would not have to wait until the following day. He could not have been more caring or wonderful.

Paw Prints was very professional during this difficult time. I'd contacted Nate a few weeks prior to my dog's passing, to discuss plans and make him aware that my dog's health was declining. On the day my dog passed, I'd called Nate at PPPC and informed him. He picked up my dog's body within the hour and took him back to the PPPC facility. I received a call 3 days later that my dog's ashes were ready to be picked up....I was bringing him home with his family again.
When I picked up the ashes, I was given a tour of the facility and the overall process was explained to me. I knew my dog had been carefully, RESPECTFULLY handled the entire process. That brought me tremendous comfort.
The PPPC facility is very clean and the staff professional and respectful. I have used other companies in the past for my dogs that have passed over the years and have not received their ashes back for months...and picked them up at the vet's office. I saddens me to think I don't know if I truly have MY dog's ashes, because I don't know who was handling the process and where my dog's bodies went. I never worried about that with Nate and PPPC.
I will definitely use them in the future when the time comes for my current dogs to pass on to the Rainbow Bridge. It brings me peace to know a place like PPPC is available to help me and my beloved animals.
