Kyle Cobb was the rudest, laziest and most inexperienced inspector I have ever worked with in over 35 years. He was showboating a new trainee the short time he was here and trying to play a big shot. I have no experience with pools, so when he didn't show me the operation of the light source I didn't know to ask about it. I wish I had. The pool had a Pelacair 5G LED light and because he never checked it, it will cost me $1,402.00. He was also incompetent when it came to checking the pool heater. He told me he couldn't check heaters in the summer when the water was warm because they would burn up the unit. What a joke, I had a professional pool tech inspect the unit this week and he laughed when I told him what Kyle said. He checked the unit in under five minutes. Thankfully, the unit was in good shape. I talked with ED the owner about taking care of the cost of the light source since Kyle did not inspect it. He told me that since Kyle did not check the light he wasn't responsible. But, If I wanted I could have my $150.00 inspection fee back. Think about that, your total liability coverage on this incompetent inspector and the company is the cost of your inspection. What a company, not only is the inspector poor, the company doesn't even try to cover for them. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. This was just a pool inspection, the companies main business is whole house inspections, I don't have direct experience with them doing that type of inspections, but I would be careful.
