He bought me some more trees for us to plant. He checked on what was going on with the plants that he had planted in the fall. He did his own follow-up. We didn't ask him to come for anything. He just did extra. I liked him a lot.

Initially the line of bushes she planted along the house were too sparse, so we paid for her to come out and plant Fire Power shrubs in between.
A month after the initial planting, many plants had died (even with the proper amount of care from us) so Leslie came out and replanted a couple things. The Preen they had laid down did nothing to prevent weed growth in the beds and now I have a regular weed puller that comes to the house for $12/hr once a week.
After around 6 months, about half of the plants had died (again, with the proper quality of care), and Leslie offered to come replant everything that was dead if we paid for the plants, (ostensibly giving us her time at no cost). But after spending nearly $1,300 we felt that it was not our responsibility to continue to pay for the modest service she was offering.
At around 9 months nearly everything but the firepower bushes, a Tea Olive tree and a Japanese Maple were dead and I stopped watering the areas because I looked ridiculous watering my dead landscaping.
We have had a number of lawn care specialists look at the planting beds since then and their ubiquitous comment has been that our beds are full of sand. I'm not sure how the soil that N&UP laid down turned to sand, but it seems like a pretty big oversight to me.
The Pierponts are very nice people and seem genuinely knowledgeable, so I'm willing to chalk this up to some kind of extenuating circumstance. But nonetheless, we will be going with a different company next time.

"We take pride in choosing the healthiest, biggest plants for the customer's dollars. It was disappointing to watch the results of the dry soil and lack of an irrigation system. I hope they have better success in the future."

Leslie is very nice and understanding--I had been burned by paying half for undelivered sod to another company, and she was kind enough not to ask for payment until the entire project was done. She and her crew came when she said they would and they finished in two days, as promised. now I have a very unique yard with grass paths and a butterfly garden, an herb garden and spireas. Her crew is hard working, very pleasant ment. Leslie gets right in there and works with them. I love my new yard, a pretty place.

Perfection-she used a sodcutter to remove dead grass, a dumpster, 3 workers, 8 yds. of mulch & gorgeous healthy plants. They all survived this extremly cold winter & are continually blooming.

It went perfect!! The only hitch was I was glad I was there to rearrange some of the layout of the plants and a tree I asked to move, probably shouldn't have been until cooler weather. But she knew to call ask to dig people (she was the only one I interviewed who suggested this), She doesn't cut corners and lordy she knows her stuff. Been in the Native Plant Society for 10 yrs.I live in HOA w/ cookie cutter lawns and everyone is loving it.Much prettier than grass w/ shrubs.

"The member was correct that moving her bottlebrush tree in July was going to jeopardize it, but she wanted something else in that spot. I really appreciate her words of praise!"
