We went directly to the fabricator rather than HD or other in-between sales person. Selected granite slabs with help from Lisa who met us a couple of times at a local granite warehouse. She did a great job in guiding us and educating us in granite selection and would recommend her for her knowledge. Next, the guy that came out to template. He was very careful and did a great job. He also did a great job on the installation. We had to buy the 2 full slabs. When slabs were delivered to fabricator we put templates to slab. A few days later, we are informed one of the slabs broke we would now require a seam - this was the small counter that was a simple square cut. The company did not take responsibility for breaking the slab, nor did they offer to replace it or compinsate in any way. So in effect we ended up with a less than perfect job. I know accidents happen, but they failed to take ownership of the accident so instead of an "A" they get a "C".
