Dr. Nelson & I discussed the issues. She gave me a anti-nausea medication for 4 days, checked for worms & gave her a dewormer for prevention. She also said they would call in two weeks to see how she was doing.

They referred me to a heart specialist for my dog. I have two dogs and they all go there and they've been going there for three years.

Great. Office staff are very friendly and Dr Nelson is very thorough with you. Also asked questions about one of my other cats during the visit with no problem. They always call the next day to check to make sure the cst did not have any bad reactions and is doing ok.

I feel so fortunate to have chosen this provider for my dogs.  Moved to Jacksonville in August and thanks to Angie's list and the reviews for Monument Animal Hospital, I made appointments to establish care for both my dogs, a senior lab and a young cocker spaniel.

The staff, and Doctors are amazing.  They are upfront with cost, which by the way is reasonable.  Dr. Wilson is kind and gentle and really takes his time during the visit.  He also discusses treatment plans and offers several options when available.

In a short period of time,  I have come to trust their care for my doggies.

The appointments are on time, they call to remind you of appointment, call to follow up after a visit and I also receive reminders for monthly flea, worm prevention treatment (Trifexis) .

They also have a wonderful pet portal where you can access your records, get information and even have rewards for money spent on care.   I have VPI pet insurance and they immediately submit claims to insurance.

Thank you to the staff and Dr. Wilson.  I am grateful that I found you.

I have been going here a couple of years now. Always wonderful 8 helpful people who take great care of my dog. I recommended them to my daughter. Long story short, she recent had to say goodbye to her dog. The illness was strong and very sudden. I have had to go through this before, and I went this time with her. Words cannot describe how kind and caring they handled the situation. I was impressed and grateful for the empathy and patience they showed my daughter and her poor dog.

Dr Wilson, his relief veterinarian Dr. Price, and the MRAH staff are extremely knowledgable and professional. I lost my 14 1/2 year old dog in Oct after several months of excellent medical care. During the illness, the doctors and staff called many times to check on him, plus they were available to answer questions and address my concerns. I was given detailed instructions so I could continue his care at home. I was also provided information that allowed me to identify symptoms that would be present as the illness progressed. It was important to let my precious baby cross the bridge before he suffered and I'm very satisfied with the advice and compassion in allowing it to happen. MRAH has always exhibited a sincere love for animals and now that I have a 13 week old puppy, I'm entrusting them with his care.

At the puppy visit on Dec 30, Dr. Wilson did a thorough physical exam, as well as a behavioral assessment. He sat on the floor with the puppy and provided me with recommendations for socializing him to ensure I have a wonderful pet.

They are very good. I'm very pleased with it. They are responsible. They are happy when they are dealing with the pets. You call them and they recognize who you are and they have a good website.

I used to use MRAH for my cats wellness checks and vaccinations for many years. They are very good with general services. The staff is very friendly and all really care about animals. Had two very sad episodes with two different cats during the years I used this vet service. One cat (Pumkin) had heart problems the vet did not find during wellness checks and he had a stroke one night at home and died at the emergency vet clinic. The other cat (Scooby) turned out to have a brain tumor that was not detected until he went blind one day and he eventually died of that. MRAH referred Scooby to specialists, but they couldn't help either. Don't really believe MRAH did anything wrong, but feel sad about it anyway. My main issue for changing vets was that MRAH changed their hours and are only open some Saturdays, which is inconvenient for me. When I was adopting a new cat I needed a vet on Saturday to check him over before bringing him home and that was a weekend they were closed. Have also found it very expensive to have to use the emergency vet clinic after hours or on the weekend so found a vet that is open longer hours and also on the weekend, which works better for me. If MRAH expands their practice and were open more on the weekend and later hours during the week I would consider going back there again as it is closer to my house and their staff and vet are very nice people.

My schnauzer has been with Monument Rd. since she was a puppy (2003). She has been very healthy with no health problems. In October 2012, she began having gran mal seizures; cause unknown. Dr. Matt was vigilant in looking for medications to reduce and/or control the seizures (they can't be stopped completely). Each time I called, he was quick to respond. Every time we thought they were controlled and they reappeared. Dr. Matt took time to research and quot;humanand quot; drug therapies being used in veterinary medicine and the results shown. He added a 3rd therapy in Dec 2013-generic Keppra-the same medication my son takes for his epilepsy (the only drug that controlled his). Very happy to report she hasn't had a seizure since Dec. 9, 2013. I am very optimistic.
We will return this month for lab work and to hopefully begin slowly reducing the phenobarbital and potassium bromide, both of which can cause liver damage.
It has been expensive, but worth it. The general charges are more than most others I check with, but I'll happily pay the extra if it means my pet will be taken care of like my child.

We spend $150 for well visits with shots and everything. We use them because they are awesome. The staff has been the same since we have been going there. They are great. I actually said to the veterinarian there that I wish he saw people and that is how much we love him. They are very responsive and call to make sure that our pet is okay the next day, even if it just went in for a bath. I take our big Labrador in every month for a bath. They do grooming as well. They do puppy daycare, so they always have the little ones running around them.
