Had a BB gun hole in my window. MOHR was one of the three quotes I got. I could tell he was very knowledgeable about working with historic windows (my house is pre-1915 and has the original windows.) It was a very small job for him but he and his assistant got the pane installed in no time. They wanted to wait a few days to put the final paint on, which turned into several weeks because he got sick and the holidays. That is really my only complaint, it took him three weeks to finish the 10 minute paint job after the hard part was done. I will give him the benefit of the doubt because it was such a small job and he gave me a great price. I would use him again.

As mentioned above, they are still in the process of working on our very large project. They are close to half-way done with the exterior portion and we have been very pleased with the work. We would highly recommend this company.

We bought an older home in 2010 and knew immediately that the windows were going to need help. For starters, they were all (every single one!) painted shut. This was not only a fire hazard, but also just a plain bummer, because I like having the windows open. Second, the paint was peeling, which was unsightly and dangerous because the windows had been originally painted with lead paint. Third, the previous owner had installed high security locks, complete with one-way screws, but didn't leave a key.

We tried to resolve some of these problems ourselves. We tried removing the old paint from the windows in one room, but quickly realized it was beyond our skill (and more work than we wanted to do ourselves, to be honest). We called in locksmiths to work on the locks. They were successful in popping the lock on the one window we tried as test, but they couldn't remove the lock hardware. We researched methods of removing one-way screws and learned that drilling was the only method. Due to the space limitations and the proximity of old glass, it wasn't feasible for us to do this ourselves. In short, we needed serious help.

We weren't aware of the concept of window restoration, so we started looking into new windows. They price tag was horrifying, and we weren't confident of the quality of any of the types we looked at. We plan on being in this house close to forever, and we didn't want to have to buy new windows all over again in a few decades. As I was researching some of the windows that were pitched to us, I came across a few references to the benefits of window restoration. The points made sense to me, so I did a web search for "window restoration Jacksonville" and came across Angel.

I emailed him, and he replied right away. I still have his first email to me, and it says: "What you just described is what we do everyday- sometimes I even dream about it. :) " So we invited him over to take a look. He spent an hour looking at the windows and talking with us. He put us at ease with both his immense knowledge and his friendly manner. He emailed us a quote a few days later, and it was less than half of the amount of the lowest quote we had gotten for new windows.

We verified his insurance and his references, and they all checked out, so we decided to move forward. Work began in August and lasted about 12 weeks, which was right in line with the original time frame Angel had quoted. The price went over the original quote by a few hundred dollars, but that was completely with our approval due some higher quality hardware.

Angel and his team were professional, timely, courteous and did outstanding work. It was such a pleasure to work with a contractor who is reliable, honest and knows and loves his craft. I would absolutely do business with him again. In fact, we've hired him to do ongoing semi-annual maintenance on the windows to keep them in good repair.
