Description of Work: Mr Vona contacted me to assist him with his overwhelming (so he said) work load. I am also a painter. Upon meeting him at a job site he was finishing up, to which he was late, I asked more than once if his contractor knew he was entertaining my help and that I would not be subcontracted. He assured me that it wouldn't matter. If the QCM didn't know, what difference would it make. To me it mattered. He told me in person that I would not be subcontracted. Later, via text he told me I would be working for him. Uh-huh. It was also his body language. He wouldn't sit still long enough to make eye contact, he wouldn't give me the contractor name, never asked for my credentials, experience, etc. The general feeling was uncomfortable and I did not want to risk my and my company's reputation with someone like that. I did more research on him and found out he has a criminal record and does not have good standing with a national paint store. Uh-huh, not my type. Stay away from him.

 + -1 moreReceived estimate and paid in full to Michael K Vona President of MVP Enterprises of Jacksonville on January 8 2010 for four windows for a home I am remodeling. Specifically on receipt it indicates Mr. Vona would store windows until I needed. I have now been requesting these windows for over two months from Mr Vona. He has repeated told me he will get with me that afternoon or the next day, but never does. He has texted messages indicating he does owe me the windows. At this point I will take a refund. Sent a message to his wife's business Fitlynx as she (Terri Vona) is Vice President of MVP & the last physical address for MVP Enterprises shared with Fitlynx is 10092 San Jose Blvd, Ste 1, Jacksonville, FL 32257, but now can only find the a new address for Fitlynx on Historic Kings Road S in Jacksonville. Sent certified letter, return receipt to Michael and Terri Vona which was signed for by Terri Vona, VP of MVP Enterprises. Letter indicated I will be filing in Duval County small claims court. No response although both a cell number and address were provided. Stay away from this company and Michael Vona. Just found this article today - too bad I did not have this info before we paid Mike Vona. http://valdostadailytimes.com/local/x1155938943/Ex-gym-owner-out-on-bond
Description of Work: None performed at this time. Michael Vona has never called to set up an appointment time for delivery of the windows that he was paid in full for.
