Mr. Mendoza responded promptly via email and text to the notice his company had been matched to my service request. When he came to my house to evaluate the paint job I needed, he happened to cross paths with another painter who was also providing a quote. Unlike the other professional, who spent a great deal of time reviewing what we needed done and measuring the rooms, Mr. Mendoza did a cursory review of the house (not even bothering to measure the rooms we needed painted) and then asked what the other painter had quoted for the job. I provided the square footage of the job (which the other painter had calculated), and he promised to beat it. He did not strike me as particularly professional, but in the spirit of fairness I asked him to provide me with a quote to pressure wash our house, so I could determine the quality of his work before committing to the bigger job. Later that day, he provided a painting quote based on incorrect square footage. I hired him to pressure wash the exterior of our home, which he arranged to do the next day. The next day, he sent a message asking if the appointment could be rescheduled to the following day at 10 a.m. He did not show, and did not respond to my texts asking if he still intended to come. A day later, he still has not responded to me. As he was uninterested in completing the smaller job, I will not, of course, be hiring him for the larger one.
