McCall Service

McCall bought our contract for bug service from another bug company with whom we actually had a contract. They proceeded to show up at our house and perform unauthorized services on our home. They continued to bill us for these for two months. I repeatedly called and explained that we didn’t have a contract with them and these services had not been authorized. They also continued to bill us for a bill with the company we previously had a contract with. Nobody could give us proof that this was even valid. I called 8 times over two months to get this worked out. I was told numerous times they were going to speak with a manager and get back to me. While waiting to hear back they turned us into collections for a bill we don’t owe with another company and then charged us for being turned into collections. This company is shady and takes advantage of unsuspecting honest people! I never even had a contract with them and they have somehow taken 9 phone calls worth of my time and turned us into collections. Predatory and awful. Don’t hire!

They were out within a day and sprayed for all three items and stopped the bugs from spreading.

Very well.

I had seen a few bugs around my house the last few weeks and was worried that I would get more so I setup a contract with McCall and they were able to come out the same day and spray my home. Everyone I talked to was very helpful and it seems to be working.

Provider first came out with squirrel traps that didn't work, then came back with 2 traps that appeared to be too small.  He set them up in attic and yard.  Brought no bait!  Grabbed acorns on the yard to use for bait.  Did not catch anything over 4 days.

Person simply jammed rodent cloth in an access hole which was not secured very well and the squirrels went at it and would have reopened the hole in no time.

Provider redeemed themselves somewhat by having another person come back with flashing to better seal the hole.

Squirrels appeared to have re-established themselves in attic.  Provider had indicated previously a 1 year warrentee but, when called back out only a few weeks after initial treatment, said they would not seal another accessway  and would charge to have traps re-installed.

$470 is a lot of money to spend and expected better from McCall, having seen previous references.

We have since obtained a proper trap ourselves with proper bait, and caught our first squirrel within 4 hours.

Suggest getting own traps on Amazon if you have this problem.  Only $40.

What I like:
- They are very good about appointments.  They always call the day before to let you know they will be at your property.
- Initial consultation was very thorough and professional.
- Technicians do a good job and are courteous and will answer any question you have.
-  Front office has been great.
- Lawn looks good
What I don't like:
- I can't think of anything with the company.
- Your lawn will look great with this company.  The one draw back is it takes a lot of watering which will significantly increase your JEA bill especially if you do not have the JEA meter installed to accurately measure your reclaimed water.  Without the meter JEA bills for reclaimed water based on the amount of water you use. When you water your lawn it takes a significant amount of water use which obviously goes into the ground and is not reclaimed by JEA but you still get billed for it without the correct meter. BTW, you have to purchase the meter from JEA which is not cheap.  Something doesn't seem right with this but that is how it works with JEA.

It went as promised and they were the most reasonable price.  I was so pleased that I changed over to them for my maintenance agreement on my cooling unit.

does what is expected of service

If I have a problem with insects, they are very willing to deal with the problem. In the past I had wasp nest in the ground and they were prompt in dealing with it. 

Good service- courteous-- on time.

They are so friendly and on time

as expected-- typically treat outside only-- charge tubes, etc---- Always very responsive and helpful.  Had then for a long time as Enviropest-- McCall took over recently-- same folks provide service

We agreed on a service date/day, they told us who would be doing the service. They were on time and they phoned us to ensure they were going to be here etc. Terrific.

The technician was prompt and professional. He was very thorough, and clean, and also provided tips for other areas such as pest control.
Once he completed his inspection, he took the time to explain the details.
Would be happy to use McCall again.

Told us what he would do and did it.  I have used this company for over 15 years and they are terrific in all areas.  On time and

trust worthy.

Technician was on time and friendly. He examined and treated the entire house. He was very professional.

I am new to McCall's but I can say the associates dealt with are very friendly and professional. As a heads up, I received a courtesy call the day before they came out to spray the yard. Having been with McCall's a very short time It will take several months to see if there are improvements. My main reason for using McCall's is weed control.

I worked with Cliff to setup services for my home in Jacksonville. He was very prompt at contacting me and providing an estimate. He emailed the contract to me to establish my service. He had the technicians out in under a week to have the work done. He even called me after it was done to follow-up on a few items and schedule a follow-up inspection few weeks out.

We were not as impressed with what they did for the price we paid.
