Auto Service, Auto Tires
It was synthetic oil and I know it's more expensive. They did give me a coupon. They did submit it so I would get $20 back. They're very good. They try not to keep you waiting. I dropped it off, I went to work, it's 2 miles from my house. The car is like 2 years old. Everything was fine. They could work on lowering their prices on oil changes and tire rotation.

Auto Service
Prior to this event I "use" to ONLY trust Mazda City with my vehicle. I had been doing business with them for several years and NEVER had a problem....then they changed their Service Dept and it has been awful ever since.
Let me start off by explaining the events that led to the December service....Shortly before HAVING to have the battery & alternator replaced, Mazda City had done routine maintenance on my Mazda3 (oil change, "all points" inspection, etc). A few weeks after the maintenance, I was driving into work when my power steering went out and several service lights came on. Thankfully I made it to work safely, but after parking and turning off the engine, that was it....I was stranded. Later that day my husband came up to my work, popped the hood and what do you know.... the cells in the battery were BONE DRY; something that SHOULD have been detected during Mazda City's "all points" inspection. My car had to be flatbedded to their dealership where the Service Manager confirmed that "yes", they should have detected that back when I had it in for servicing and therefore would replace the battery for free. That's all well and good, but as a result of Mazda City's "mistake" my alternator was also fried and had to be replaced at MY cost (hence the "F" rating).....that was NOT good.
With few options, I left my car at the dealership overnight to have the alternator replaced, and I returned the following day to pick it up. As I was driving through their parking lot I noticed a strange "popping" noise coming from my steering wheel. Whoa! That never happened before. I immediately drove back to the Service Dept and let them know what I was hearing.....So back on the racks she went, only to be told that the issue was with (something or another) joints and it would be ANOTHER $1,000+ to get it fixed! Needless to say I was not happy with this new development.
1. Why would you allow your customer to drive off with a loud popping noise coming from the steering wheel? Was the vehicle not test driven before being returned to me? If it was, why would you release it to me and not point this out?
2. I'm not saying that "something" was done to my vehicle while out of my possession, but I had no problems with the steering prior to any of this. And if the steering issue was a result of the battery/alternator issue, why was this not brought to my attention?
Ultimately I declined to have any further work done on my vehicle and ended up trading it in. Subsequent services have been done by Mazda City on my new vehicle and once again they just don't seem to have their act together. Long wait times for basic maintenance and/or they have actually "forgotten" to perform a specific service (oil change on my truck) or claimed they fixed an issue (rattle in headliner) when they had not.
Let me emphasize that Mazda City is not conveniently located to me. I use to drive out of my way to them because I trusted them and always had great service. No more. I'm done. They have cost me way too much money and time. I cannot recommend their Service Department.
NOTE: This happened well over a year ago and hopefully they have improved. I, however, will not be the one to find out.

Went to Mazda City to check out a car with low monthly payments. The sales rep was able to get me into the car I wanted at a price very close to what I had in mind. I was in and out within 5 -6 hours with my new to me car.

I purchased my Mazda from Mazda City back in 2006 and have had a majority of my routine maintenance done there. Recently I made the mistake of going to another dealership (whom I shall report on individually) to have my oil changed/routine maintenance done (just because they were closer) in which they claimed I needed all kinds of expensive work done on my vehicle (roughly $400.00). Luckily it was late in the afternoon and they would not have time to do it then....instead, I headed back to Mazda City for a second opinion and VERY glad I did. They confirmed my suspicions that my vehicle was fine and did not need the work. The folks at Mazda City are top notch in my book! They are honest, thorough, professional, friendly and have always given me a fair price. I've learned my lesson and won't take my Mazda anywhere else!!

They actually took one hundred dollars off the cost of the repair because we use them all the time. They always do quality work and their price very reasonable. We took the car into the shop in the morning and had it back by the afternoon.
