Beware of Leaf Filter sales pitch starting at an outrageous amount that quickly, after a “multitude of discounts” arrives at a still outrageous amount, but makes you believe you are getting a “REAL DEAL”. Smooth talking, 6’ 5” Lamar had an excellent command of product knowledge and installation, but when a problem arose with the installer on the job, he suddenly became “Mr. Milk Toast” and told me I needed to contact Customer Service as he was just “the low man on the pole.” Long story short after signing contract installation was “amazingly” set up for next day 8/8/24 window of 8am -12 Noon. Installer arrived at 11:30am with no explanation as to why. Worked 2 1/2 hours installing 67 Linear Feet with no repair or replacement of gutters only to clean out some leaves. Then went to lunch returning around 3pm to continue work which necessitated him working on roof of one-story home around pool cage. He quickly advised me that there were soft spots on my 3 1/2-year new roof replacement and he was quite adamant that he was going to fall through my roof. He wanted to cut the screens in the pool cage so he could work from below. Lamar agreed that cutting screens wasn’t really an option and I should just pay the installer the $2515 for work completed and he would look into it. The following week he said he had to side with his installer. I didn’t realize that their installers are also experienced, licensed roofers. Hmmm I immediately called my local Volusia County, FL roofer with 28 years of experience and well thought of in my community and he sent a foreman out the next morning to check the roof. Both he and another roofer friend, separately determined that the roof was safe and the work could certainly be completed. In fact, I did have the additional 100 Linear Feet completed by someone else for half the price I paid Leaf Filter for 67 LF and in a much more timely and professional fashion from above on the roof. I can only wonder what their life time warranty and customer service experience would be like once they got paid and be thankful that I only suffered a couple of days of anxiety and concern that my roof was caving in and saved thousands of dollars.

Beware of Leaf Filter - Looking for gutters? Whatever you do, DO NOT user Leaf Filter. I have lived here for 24 years and have had gutters the entire time. My gutters were not drilled into the drip edge ever. I have a picture but cannot post here with my roof completely ripped off with my old non-leaf filter gutters. I decided to replace ALL my gutters with new LF gutters since my house had been completely remolded. The LF people came out, did my installation. They missed an entire window area. They updated the price which was already $600.00 above the competitors to another $340.00. When they finished the installation, they asked me for an amount. I gladly paid. The next day, the sales guy called me and said that I owed the additional $340.00. I told him to come by and I would pay him. He told me and I QUOTE "If I do not get that money by tomorrow, I am going to have to send you to the credit bureau". WTFO! I spend $340 on sushi. Not even close to being a problem. They never performed a water test to see if the gutters would actually work. Weeks later, we notice black stripes on the gutter and realize that the water was overshooting the gutters. The sales guy comes out and we show him our neighbor's house which did their roof and gutters at the same time. Their's were working as designed. NOT LF. When we call the sales guy and he comes out, BTW we have Simon audio/video because I have Ring cameras covering every square inch of my house outside and most of it inside. He told my wife that "the way your neighbor did it is wrong". "We ALWAYS do the installation under the drip edge." Well now that they installed wedges because they tried to "fix" it after the fact, the "installation manager" told me "The only way to fix this is drilling into the drip edge". Yes the same installation my neighbor did "wrong". Also the stripes on my gutters which BTW are permanent, is wear and tear..... after three months of being installed. They are rude, they are unprofessional, and they are deceitful. You are better off not doing gutters and dealing with effects of not having them than giving these people a single, solitary penny. There support is a waste of time. Every one of them promise to "send and email to the area manager" no one ever calls you back. I recommend to wear comfortable shoes because you will get the run-around. Don't bother. You are better off getting your money and donate it to a charity. They are not worth the time, money or aggravation.

Worst Service Ever. Starts with the salesperson not giving what was promised on scheduling and setting up for the installer, installer never shows up on sgreed dates or times causing you to lose money at work or taking off a day unneeded. Managers trying to reschedule you and finally you just say no stay off my property and dont call back. I’ll get somebody else. JobANA11800# Sent email to Matt Kaulig the CEO how bad they are. Contacted BBB on lost wages at work to document.

Having received a “Leaf Filter Flyer” in our mailbox, I called the 800 phone number on Saturday Morning (May 29th). I was surprised to get an appointment so quickly and was scheduled for 1:00 P.M. that afternoon. Your Salesman arrived and came to our door. He knew my name as I had given it to your operator when I requested an appointment. At that time, he stated he was from Leaf Filter, however, did NOT give me his name. He was a well- groomed, white male, with a small diamond chip in his left ear. He requested that I accompany him around the home. I stated the gutter that I was concerned about was on the north side of the home. A friend arrived and I went inside while he did a gutter inspection and got some measurements. Our home is only four years old and I was sure that that gutters were in good shape. After a short time, he came to the door and proceeded with a sales pitch which included exampled of other gutter protection systems and a loose-leaf notebook which contained information about your company, its history, growth and then your Leaf Filter system. During said sales pitch, he showed excerpts from the Better Business Bureau, Angie’s List, and Consumer Reports, and a trade magazine, attesting to the fact that your system was so good. After the lengthy pitch, he finally got around to dealing with this/my gutters. The following is provided: 1. Gutter length is 70 linear feet. 2. There are no corners or angles to deal with 3. The cost would be over $3,700.00. At that point and for that cost I was not interested, and told him so. He continued with his aggressive and hard sell sales pitch. He would: 1. Reduce the cost by 15% as promised in the flyer, and 2. Reduce the cost by 10% for a Senior Discount, and 3. Reduce the cost and additional 5% as I was one of the first 50 callers. (I do not know how he knew I was on of the first 50 caller); and 4. That the final cost now being over $2,700.00 I stated I was still not inclined to enter a sales contract at this time and felt the cost for 70 linear feet was still excessive! At that point he went over four (4) payment options. One of which was a check written immediately. If I did that, the cost would be reduced an additional $600.00; thus making the purchase just over $2,100.00. He was now becoming very “hard sell” and kept pushing. I asked about the one-year price guarantee. He stated that the $3,700 would hold for one year; however, all the discounts would disappear if I did not enter a Sales Contract then and there. I asked for a Business Card and his telephone number and his name. He said he had no cards and provided none of the requested information. I asked to be given time over the weekend to think about this and he stated he could not be just driving around and making return trips as he may have other appointments. Having had ENOUGH of his high-pressure sales tactics, his lack of providing his Business Card, and/or name, and/or phone number, I told him to get out! He persisted in pushing for a sale. I again told him to “Get OUT”! At this point he told me he came out to do me a favor, today, by doing this Estimate. That was the “straw that broke the camels back”. He wasn’t doing me any favor; I was doing him a favor by providing him an opportunity to make a sale (Make a commission on said sale). Now I told him to get the F Out of my home! At this point he finally left and could NOT understand why I was upset. I again stated that anyone who would not give me his name, his Business Card, his phone number and a mere 48 hrs. to think about this (and discuss this with my wife), was NOT someone I wanted to do business with and/or a Company I wanted to do business with.

Very Impressed. Estimate was very thoroughly explained as were many options. Very professional. Installation was completed in three hours. Not one trace of trash was left. They were very efficient. They offer finance plans or a discount for cash or check. We paid by check and received a nice discount. They are not cheap. We paid over $3000 but it is cheaper than a trip to the hospital.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I contacted them to get a quote. They set an appointment to come out. The sales person Eric was later to the appointment, which was a sign of things to come, but never the less he still came. We talked about the work that needed to be done and he gave me a price. After doing a little more research I decided to hire them to do the work. I contacted Eric to set it up and it took a week for him to get back to me with a install date of December the 9th from 1-3 pm. The 9th came and went with no one coming to do the work. I contacted Eric and he told me that when he talked to his people. They said that they tried to call me to confirm, but they couldn't get a hold of me. This was a lie because I never received any calls, texts, or emails. Eric also agreed that this was false and that it seemed his installers were lying so they wouldn't get in trouble. So he setup another appointment the following day, the 10th, at the same time. I texted Eric at 8am to confirm the appointment and to make sure that they were still coming out to do the work. He texted me back that the appointment was on and that they would show up from 1-3 pm. At 2:19 pm I call Eric because no one had showed up to do the work. He told me to give them till 3 and if there was an issue to call him back. 3 pm came and went with no one showing up again to do the work. This time when I called Eric back he didn't answer and I got his voice mail. I told him to cancel the job because this was now the second time in a row that they didn't show up or even call to say they weren't showing up. Eric has yet to contact me back by the way. Interestingly enough about 10 minutes later I received a call and text from their installer saying he would be there in the morning to install the gutters. So I know Eric was dodging my call but got the voice message I left him. I contacted the installer back and told him that I was canceling the job due to their horrible customer service and 2 missed appointments. He told me that he only got the job order that morning and knew nothing about any other planned appointments. So I'm not sure if Eric was lying to me or this guys were. What really angers me is that I took off work early both days so I could be there for the installs. I could have been earning money instead of having my time wasted by this company. I still haven't received a reason why they missed both appointments. I never knew it would be this hard to give a company business. Don't waste your time with these guys and find yourself a different company to do the work.

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness, Value Let me start by telling do not trust these people! I canceled contract which was written on September 19 and I cancelled on September 21, 2020 which my call logs indicate in the three day time period and have called everyday since with no return calls from the Tampa office. I was told everyday starting Monday by the home office customer service personal that Mark the operations manager in Tampa office would call me back. As of Wednesday I have yet to hear from him and it is clear to me that Mark is too busy to return my calls. They take advantage of seniors, my husband suffers from the early stages of dementia and was taken advantage of by being charged triple the amount that it would normally cost for gutter covers. I was unable to be home because I was in quarantine from a family member that died from Covid. As if I didn’t have enough stress already I am now trying to resolve this issue to no avail. Beware of a sales rep by the name of Tom Sawyer if that is his real name. It is obvious to anyone who meets my husband that he suffers from various illnesses including the onset of dementia. I Also agree with the other person who said they left a mess because that’s exactly what happened at our home as well. I spoke to a young lady in the Tampa office by the name of Lauren who is very rude and accusatory said that I had given her our credit card over the phone, which was not true! Had I not received An alert on my phone from credit card company I would not have known what was going on. I Since printed my call log, my husband call log and my daughters call log and all of them indicate that we never made a call to the Tampa office with credit card info. My only thought is is that possibly it was taken without our knowledge as my husband was home alone on the September 19, 2020 for about 2 hours and possibly someone took a photograph of it. Since he can’t remember, I am at a loss. I have asked repeatedly asked then to remove their Gutter covers with no responses. If they are so reputable why are they taking advantage of people.
