The founder of our company, Luther Knowell, after retiring from proudly serving in the United States Navy, went to work for another local locksmith. He was surprised to find how much he enjoyed the work, and often would remark, “It’s nice to be able to make a living doing what I consider to be a hobby.” After seven years, Luther would go on to start Knowell’s Lock & Safe out of the trunk of the family car. Before long, he had purchased company vans, and recruited other family members as employees. Today, Knowell’s Lock and Safe has three generations operating the family business. Knowell’s Lock and Safe is located in Jacksonville Florida, and ships safes virtually anywhere in the continental United States.
