We have been using them a long time. When one of our dogs passed away the young vet wrote  us a very touching sympathy letter about our dog.

Let me first start by saying I have been taking my dogs to this vet and groomer for well over 10 years. About 2 months ago I took my Australian Shepherd in to be bathed and trimmed. My normal groomer, Harumi was not available and the groomer that he saw SHAVED him! Never once did I receive a call prior to doing this and when I picked him up they said they had to cut him shorter than normal because he had mats...which I know he did not and even Harumi said she did not believe that since I brush him out myself! I commented on Facebook and Harumi was kind enough to respond, she said she called Jason to let him know how upset I was and I never heard one thing from him. I was due to take my other Aussie in the next day and called to let them know how upset I was and Harumi told me which groomer to take my dog too while she was out. I have 3 dogs, my shih poo goes every 4 weeks for his grooming and only sees Harumi and if she is not available we will wait. Kramer was due for his shots today when I dropped him off for grooming. The girl at the desk rattled off that he was due for his shots and if I agree for him to have the dog flu shots that they waive the appt fee. I agreed to the shots after she said dogs are dying from this flu and I should be afraid. I called my husband and he said we should do more research on the shots first so I asked him to call them back and cancel the flu shots and only give him his normal yearly vaccines. When he called he was told basically "no". The flu shot was mandatory for their clinic as of 7/1. I called them and told them we just had this conversation 10 minutes ago and I was never told it was mandatory! I was only told that if I got the shot the fee for the visit would be waived to which she responded we only waive the fee for the visit if the only shot they were getting is for the Flu vaccine. So, not only was I told they were not waiving the visit fee and that it was now mandatory as of July 1 I was also told that we could no longer bring the dogs in without the shot so he HAD to have it. Between this and them shaving my Aussie 2 months ago I am horrified! I like that my dogs can see the vet during their grooming and we LOVE Harumi but it is now time for me to find a new groomer and vet after more than 10 years due to the lack of information, service and compassion at the time of drop off. Including a pic of my dog when I dropped him for grooming and one of him after I picked him up and he was shaved! I know my rating are across the board but the A for Quality is for Harumi.

I think it ended up being like $300. I would estimate that it was like $100 between the cost of the visit and the cost of the actually medicine that they gave him, they gave him 4. All of them are expensive. Anybody that has bad prices, usually you don’t want to send your dog to anyway. They have like a walk-in thing so you end up waiting sometimes. I think they have the upmost professionalism, like from when you bring your puppy in for the first time to if ever you were ever to have to, for whatever, have a puppy to pass away; they’ve been completely sweet, and caring, and loving. They are really just a group of wonderful people.

I purchased a six-month dog park membership at the Julington Creek Animal Walk so that my large dog could get exercise and social interaction with other dogs. It is a very nice property, which includes an inground swimming pool for the dogs. However, I do not believe that the pool water is maintained and cleaned enough because all of the overnight and daycare dogs use the pool as well, leaving it (on many days) with extremely contaminated water. As a result my dog developed a severe ear infection, which is still being treated 7 weeks later. Now I cannot prove the infection was from the pool water, but I strongly suspect it because I frequently saw dog poop on the bottom of the pool. As a result, I only used half of my membership because I wouldn't take him back to this dog park. What a shame, because he thoroughly enjoyed going there. I should also mention that I took my dog to see the vet at this place to treat this infection (another $78), and told him that the ear infection was from their pool in their dog park. He had no response, but didn't deny it.
Response from JULINGTON CREEK ANIMAL HOSPITAL & ANIMAL WALK
"[Member Name Removed] - I am very sorry to hear about the ear infection that your pet has experienced. I know this is not pleasant to deal with, especially for water loving dogs. Please know that we take great pride in maintaining a clean and sanitary pet campus. We clean pet suites several times/day, scoop the property daily, and with regard to the pools, we clean them every single morning 365 days/year. The water chemistry is also tested daily. As you alluded to, we do have hundreds of dogs using the pools every week. This constantly changes the water chemistry which is why we have to maintain the pools on a daily basis. This number of dogs also causes a lot of dirt to build up on the bottom of the pool. I assure you this is not feces. The majority of our four-legged guests are able to enjoy our pools without any issue however a very small number may get ear infections. This is not from contaminated water but rather the dogs body's response to water sitting in the ear canal and the resulting inflammation. Some breeds are even predisposed to it (e.g. lots of hair in the ear, floppy ears). Some dogs will even get an ear infection from only a little water in the ear after a bath. Our park is divided into different areas (pools, splash pad, agility field, nature trails) so that if a pet cannot use one area they may still enjoy other areas. If you would like to utilize these non-pool areas, please contact me and I will be happy add the missed time to your park pass. Thank you, Jason Winchester General Manager 904-268-6731"

I have used them for about 30 years. They are excellent. They have a staff of veterinarians that are caring, knowledgeable and will go extreme lengths to take care of your pet. They are so good I could not say enough about them. Whenever there is a problem that arises with my pets I always take them there. I have never been disappointed. They have excellent staff, excellent people at the front desk and they are compassionate. I had a cat that had a serious problem with his bowels and they were able to take care of it. They board dogs and cats. They are very thorough and overall excellent. I think they have about five veterinarians there. They do not take appointments. You come in and sign in, which I really like so you can always be seen on the day that your problem occurs. That's very unusual. Usually you have to make appointments with veterinarians and then you might have to wait several days. It really works. They have a separate waiting room for dogs and a separate waiting room for cats so there is no intermingling; that's nice.

Response from JULINGTON CREEK ANIMAL HOSPITAL & ANIMAL WALK
"Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback for us. We take all feedback very seriously. Our staff works extremely hard to ensure every client has a pleasant experience and pets are cared for at the highest level. I do apologize that you had a long wait. We are primary a walk-in animal hospital in order to allow us to see all pets, well or sick at any time. Because we cannot predict demand, we do sometimes have longer waits while other times there are no waits. I am sorry you feel that our prices are high and we perform unnecessary tests. I see you purchased Trifexis when you came in. Our price will always meet or beat 800-PET-MEDS on this product as well as other adulticides. You will unlikely find it less anywhere than at our office. We also had to perform heart worm tests for your pets in order to prescribe Trifexis. This is for the safety of your pets and a manufacturer requirement. Please see the FAQs "Why does my dog need a heart worm test before starting Trifexis?" on the manufacturers website: [hyperlink removed]. Additionally I see we gave you a courtesy exam being a new client only wanting to get Trifexis. I do not believe you will find better value than what we delivered to you. If there is anything I may do to help alleviate any other concerns you may have, please contact me at 904-268-6731. Regards, Jason Winchester, GM"

We've used Julington Creek Animal walk to board our dogs and other animals as well as utilized their grooming services for years.  They do a great job with large dogs and even have an exotic pet room so they can take care of our kids odd pets like hermit crabs and gerbils when we go on vacation.  My only complaint is that I wish they were closer.

Response from JULINGTON CREEK ANIMAL HOSPITAL & ANIMAL WALK
"Dear Ms. [member name removed], Thank you for providing feedback to us. I see the date of your visit is listed as 9/8/2013. I am not sure if that's a typo but if it was indeed in 2013, we had very limited times for appointments then. We offered them Tuesday afternoons and all day Thursdays. While many of our clients prefer the walk-in option, we randomly polled our clients and found that, while not a majority, there is a sizable portion who prefers appointments. In light of this, last year we began offering appointments Monday - Friday afternoons and all day Thursdays. If you have any other concerns, I would be more than happy to discuss them with you.
