They were great - really helped.
I referred them to a neighbor. She was happy.
Great to know there is a company like this around.
I will definitely use them again. I want to speed up things that are taking me way TOOOO long to do it myself. They make a big difference.
For all you DIYers.... They really help speed things up.
The serviceman was very polite. I've used this company successfully on a number of occasions before - with minor problems that I never complained about because the servicemen are so easy going, polite and on time.
This time the serviceman installed the in-wall light switch timer. The lights have a light and motion sensor. I did not attempt to test them before he left. On the weekend following this service my lawncare provider was installing the sod I'd purchased through my homeowner's association. It was then that I realized my lights were not working. I thought maybe the timer was not set properly so I spent some time with the little manual that came with the light switch working on resetting the timer. When I was unsuccessful, I did not want to go another couple of nights with no outside lights so I called my neighbor's service who is a licensed electrician. Without going into what he had to say, since I believe that's not permitted, I observed when he removed it that the switch had not been grounded. 5 minutes later, he had it working. Since it was dusk by then, I was able to observe the working lights. When I spoke with Shannon after receiving the bill, she apologized and I thought that was the end of that. To not have charged me for that service call seemed reasonable to me so when she said and quot;OKand quot; and that she understood, I assumed that was the end of it. I've used this service for years and would have called them again for some of the carpentry work I planned to have done thinking that might be more of their strength.
Shannon called me and left a message. I called her back first thing in the morning (they would not have been open by the time I heard the message the evening before), she said she wanted to come by to pick up the check for this service. I was in shock. First, because we'd spoken but she insisted she didn't recall that and second, because I'm obsessive about paying my bills on time. I've never had someone show up at my house to collect on an invoice. Really? I said she would not. She agreed I had always paid promptly. I repeated my concerns with the service. It was only $74 or so. She repeatedly said I should have called them to let them correct it. I think she is entitled to her opinion but I don't think I owed them to potentially get it wrong again or to knowingly sit in dark for two more nights. And I likely would have had to take more time away from work to get it done within her company's schedule, although in theory someone could have come by at night or I could have waited longer until the next weekend and spent part of my Saturday doing this. I was at work but immediately got on-line with my bank and ordered a check for them. But I will never use this service again. Offer of half-off would have satisfied me.
