Soon after the system was installed I contacted Gutter Helmet to tell them that rain water was pouring onto our front porch following the installation of their product. They sent two people out to look at but because it was a sunny day, they said they could not assess the problem. I asked if they could come back out when it was raining and they told me that I would have to make an appointment. I asked how I was to make an appointment for a future date when I had no idea whether it would be raining on that day. They just shrugged their shoulders and left. The water is still pouring onto the front porch when it rains. Years after the system was installed, the gutter system color totally washed out of the product, leaving it an ugly gray-white color (it was installed as brown). Contacted Gutter Helmet and after several visits where they took photographs, and after several months of trying to establish the status of my claim, they advised me that this was "normal fading" and that the product I purchased did not have a lifetime warranty , even though the paper work - including the warranty I have says it does. We paid more for this product because they sold it with a lifetime warranty. In a letter responding why they would not replace their faulty product, they recommended that I clean or paint the gutter system. My warranty clearly states that painting the product will void the warranty. The company does not stand behind the warranty. The product that I paid more for is now drastically impacting the curb appeal of my property and my property value.
